Roots revival band McAlister Drive has quickly built a following with their authentic Americana sound and the emotional croon of frontman Christoph Krey. The world-wise singer has overcome his share of obstacles on his path to success -- a debilitating car accident and Hurricane Katrina, to name a few -- but he's managed to rise above, and a message of hope and perseverance permeates his music. Whether Krey is performing solo with his acoustic guitar or rocking a full band set up, he always brings an uplifting and heartfelt energy to the stage, treating fans to an inspirational concert experience chock-full of feel-good songs like "Ocean Skip Away" and "Hands in Your Pockets". 

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Boston-born Christoph Krey grew up playing baseball and piano, splitting time between his two passions until he left home to pursue a college baseball career. His hopes of going pro were dashed in 2003 when he suffered a debilitating car accident while studying at Tulane University. Bedridden for months, Krey returned to music as a way to cope and pass the time, penning songs and sharing his music with family and friends. Before long he was performing throughout town under the name McAlister Drive, named after first New Orleans street address. Hurricane Katrina dealt Krey another blow when it consumed his home and destroyed his instruments in 2005, but the ever-resilient songwriter pressed on. In 2010 he released his debut EP Missing Figures, an auspicious record that saw him adding additional players to the McAlister Drive roster. The group followed up in 2012 with their full-length debut album The Goddess, a painstakingly crafted collection of songs that drew praise from Americana fans across the country. A rootsy live act known for their genuine performances, McAlister Drive continues to bring joy to fans' hearts with moving sets on tour.
