Not even in his teens, cherubic rapper MattyB is already a social media mogul and chart presence, boasting millions of followers and a spot on Billboard's Social 50 chart. Spitting G-rated yet surprisingly sophisticated raps over radio-friendly pop tracks, MattyB has become a favorite with young fans and their parents, performing to sold-out family crowds around the country. Taking the stage with a full crew of backup dancers and often accompanied by his female counterpart Skylar Stecker, MattyB electrified audiences at his 2013 shows while building anticipation for his 2014 tour dates.
Atlanta, Georgia-born MattyB got an early start in the rap game after his father began uploading videos of the young performer to YouTube in the late '00s. Dozens of daily views gave way to thousands, and before long his popular remakes of tracks like Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" and Carly Rae Jepson's "Call Me Maybe" were in the tens of millions. As his fanbase grew, MattyB hit the road, cutting his teeth performing to adoring young fans around the country. Although he has said he wants to wait until he turns 15 to record an album, fans can catch him before then on one of his 2014 tour dates.
