About

MATT MAHER IN CONCERT:

Singer and composer Matt Maher’s worshipful performances are infused with personal storytelling as much as they are with praise. His sweeping songs are pieces for reflection, but rather than get mired in introspection, they veer towards the energetic, encouraging passionate participation from audience members. While his meaningful and profound music appeals to contemporary Christians of all ages, it truly resonates with a new generation of believers in need of spiritual renewal.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Canadian born singer-songwriter Matt Maher found his musical calling upon relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, when he received a graduate jazz scholarship to study at the University of Arizona. He earned his way through school playing piano in hotel bars and fully developed the great breadth of his talent. He released three records on the small Spirit and Song label before inking a deal with Sony's Essential Records for his 2008 major label debut Empty and Beautiful. Since then he has performed for popes and mass revivals and released three more full-lengths that all charted as top ten Billboard Christian Albums.

It was an awesome evening of worship that I greatly needed! Jon and Matt are very relatable and sharing personal stories showed that we are all human and suffer difficult times but we have a Great and Mighty God that will help us through! It was a great evening I thoroughly enjoyed and I didn't want it to end!

    More than music!

by Dits and Dahs on 9/27/23The Naz - Grove City

What an amazing evening! Matt and John put on a great performance! I learned something’s about both of them that touched my heart. More than a show, they revealed how Jesus has impacted their lives and I hope they reach more people every night they share the stage. I took my 10 year old daughter for her first ever concert and they set the bar high for the next. Thanks for an unforgettable night. They played a lot of songs I knew and some new ones I hadn’t heard yet. So glad we went. God bless Matt and John for sharing their love of Jesus and music with the world.

    Intimate, spirit filled

by Barbie on 9/26/23The Naz - Grove City

I’ve had Several different concert experiences with Matt. This concert drew everyone into a spirit of unity. A bond in the room. Great story telling, a peak into close friendships, freedom for improv by the band and showing off at times, but we ate it up! Only thing we could have done less of was the fog machine. Distracting, made me cough and have a bad taste in my mouth...unnecessary.

    Wonderful experience

by Studio2469 on 9/25/23The Naz - Grove City

Absolutely wonderful experience. We loved the way the 2 artists wove both of their music together. Not 1 artist doing all their own then the next. We did not realize we bought VIP seating and got to do a Q&A prior to the doors opening. That was a bonus. I would have given 5 stars but for the seating we purchased was right behind the sound booth box. Having an "obstructed view"note when purchasing the tickets would have been nice. The ushers at the venue however get 5 stars for quickly and without any fuss switching our seats to an unobstructed view.

    small venue, Big Performance!

by J C FOLLLOWER on 4/6/23Templelive Fort Smith - Fort Smith

Matt Maher led a little crowd in a small theater in Fort Smith, Arkansas in some Massive Praise and Worship! I appreciate him giving a great performance no matter what size the venue or how many people were involved. I've been to many concerts and even had the privilege of seeing Matt perform before and this show was one of the best! This event really blessed and encouraged me. Thank you Matt for introducing us to Mission House (Jess Ray & Taylor Leonhardt) they were wonderful too! May God bless you all and continue to use you for His Glory!!!

    Awesome concert!

by SusieqinAR1957 on 4/1/23Templelive Fort Smith - Fort Smith

Matt Maher and band, and the girls known as Mission House, gave an awesome concert. They weren’t about entertaining but giving a heart felt sharing of songs and worship to lift up the name of Jesus. It was one of the best concerts I remember attending! (The only downside was the venue charging for parking at $10 a spot which seems a bit excessive for our area. We were able to find free parking nearby. Also, the concessions were very high - $5 for bottled water.).
