I'm sorry to say that the ballet was very disappointing! I normally enjoy the Olney venue and have been pleased with past Nutcracker performances. They are never top quality but have always been good enough to enjoy. This year, however, it was just downright bad! I'm sorry that I paid over $200 to take my family to the ballet on Christmas Eve. Such a disappointment. At least the family was all together...

My family and I truly enjoyed this professional quality show! It was danced by professional adults and children from local dance studios. During the show, fake snow fell on the stage and my daughter kept saying how much she wanted to touch it. Well, at the end of the production, we were all invited up on stage for a "snowball fight" and had a fun time.
Fantastic experience! It was nice to see a high quality show locally!
We took two of our granddaughters to see The Nutcracker for their first time, and we were all totally pleased. The size of the theater was a major factor-this is the first time I've ever been so close to a ballet performance--it was wonderful to see the dancers UP CLOSE! The performances were top notch-even the 7th grader who played Clara was fabulous!!! We loved every minute!!

Local theatre with high school students and some older performers. Family members probably enjoyed it since it was personal however for a regular viewer who was expecting a spectacular ballet will be disappointed. Will spend more money next year and watch another show.
It was wonderful to see such wonderful local talent. Very enjoyable evening, beautiful costuming, and scenery. The young dancers were very professional..
We had 6 in our group including 2 twin girls who are almost 3 years old. This was their first live performance and they loved it. There was some spontaneous dancing in the aisle! They had seen a Nutcracker video so they were familiar with the story. At one point, when the Snow Queen was performing, one of the girls let out a loud "bravo" - just adorable. We have been attending for about 5 years now and thought that this performance was one of the best.
I loved the fact that many local students were used in the production and they all did a very professional job. I loved the story element in the first act. The roles, whether dancing or not were very well done. The dancing i in Act II was excellent and stole the show since the story element was not as strong then. Great show .... and many in the audience loved seeing some of their favorite young people performing.
