This show diverged from the usual performances at this venue. The cast was very good and all of the musical numbers were extremely well done. I felt that only 1 song was out of place when the time frame and location are considered. That particular song seemed to belong with more modern-era productions. Otherwise, very enjoyable!
The casting for this production was perfect. Marriott did an excellent job with the this show and it truly rivals both the Broadway and touring production I saw. I only wish I had known one section of the theatre would be closed off to lengthen the stage as I would have chosen different seats. The staging was not done as Marriott generally does, in the round. It was staged more traditionally like a standard production. I was looking forward to seeing it in the round and was disappointed in my seating experience. All-around I definitely recommend this production! (Keep in mind this is an intense, controversial show and not your standard Marriott fair...)
This show was excellent. My friends and I loved everything about it - the staging, the music, the story, the singing, and more. Don't miss it.
The theatre needs to be more clear with the seating arrangements. I really enjoyed the performance but I watched it all from the sides.
I have seen other Marriott Theatre productions in the past, but this production absolutely blew my mind. They handled the mature parts of the show with great sensitivity, and the entirety of the show was masterfully done. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys live theatre (not to mention tickets to the Marriott are only $47 as opposed to nearly $200 for shows in Chicago). If you get the chance, go see this amazing production!
This play is top shelf. The acting, singing and orchestra is simply fantastic. It is simply 2 hours of riveting entertainment. A must see if you are a theater fan.
Excellent adaptation of this show. The staging of ensemble was incredible and this edgy show was tastefully done. Cast marvelous in all areas!! GO SEE IT
Such a unique spin on the traditional take of Spring Awakening. The usage of projections was brilliant and the casts harmonies were breath taking.
A beautiful production of Spring Awakening, with a cast that was uniformly excellent both in acting and singing. The direction featured many thoughtful touches that underscored and amplified the emotional resonance of the material.
Great setup, great story, great actors, great music, great voices.
