    Creepoid always slay

by Allworries on 7/31/15Great Scott - Allston

I got there late and missed most of the local band, they were a good fit for creepoid, but the singer's voice was a little too whiny for my taste, next up came creepoid they play what essentially sounds like if nirvana was still around, grunge with effect pedals, but it's really their own sound, it moves with a sway that only they could pull off, all of their crew does a great job but their bassist, she adds a certain extra magic to the performance, I've never not enjoyed seeing this band, after them was marriages who are all talented musicians but for some reason they couldn't click together on the timing, I like the band own all of their albums but it was getting late and I had an hour drive home so had to leave, the last time I saw them they were tighter, really unique bands tonight, that's why tied it all together

    Phenomenal Live Trio!

by DylanRay on 7/31/15Great Scott - Allston

I have been a fan of Emma Ruth Rundle since I saw her solo performance, opening for King Buzzo. I began listening to her other projects, Nocturnes, Red Sparrowes and Marriages shortly afterwards. I was excited to see her perform in a trio and was not disappointed. Their performance was powerful, entrancing and LOUD for such a small venue. Marriages deserves a larger audience. Salome is by far my favorite rock album in recent years.
