The play itself was very well performed, my only issue was the subtitles sometimes did not show up, also the person sitting behind me kept kicking my chair, but neither of those issues had anything to do with the actual performers so 5 stars
The. Arias by Fígaro fell short of the power they should have had but overall the production was excellent. The sopranos were excellent.
I saw this opera a few years ago at the same venue and thought it was wonderful, very creative, lively and funny. This production did not compare, it was lackluster, no energy and felt like the performers were just going through a script of music - very disappointing as I was really looking forward to a great re-creation of the earlier performance which included lots of creative and interesting set changes and costumes. The entire performance included basically one very dull set.
Excellent production of Figaro. Singing was superb, funny and truly enjoyable. We the audience frequently laughed out loud!
Great voices. Smart sscenery design. Every time I see this opera something new is revealed. This was no exception!
Very good cast. All performers had excellent voices. The only negative I can say is the acoustics at Broward Center is poor. All sound seems to come only from the stage area. Sitting further back you have to strain for some vocals.
Brilliant production! My first opera, I did not anticipate the digital screen for subtitles. So helpful, even knowing the story. The opera house is a beauty and look forward to returning for other productions in the future.
This was my first opera... The show was good Figaro could of sung louder I feel that the orchestra was good but missing big pushes Music is suppose to make you feel emotions and I think it missed that element I was in the front row seat as my partner love opera but It was too close to me as I had to keep looking up to see the script. Overall I enjoyed it
