    Charlie Musselwhite is always good

    by Gibson58 on 10/30/17Stiefel Theatre - Salina

Attended this event in the past so when tickets came available I purchased without reading the lineup. Had I read it I would not have driven 5 hour to see this. They need to change the name to (music at the cross roads). As Allen Jackson did at the CMA awards I too walked out.

The Hospitality of Chad and everyone makes you feel like part of the family. The show was acceptional. Well worth twice the price

    Knox was awesome (again)

    by 2blew4u on 3/11/15DENA'INA CENTER - ANCHORAGE

Marquis Knox knows how to perform. What a talent. Loved his show a year ago when he was on bill with Jonny Lang, loved his performance again this year. Great guitar, tight band, these guys know how to play the blues the ol' fashioned way. Hats off to Snowshoe Productions for bringing such a young talent to the stage in Anchorage. Only bummer was show starting ~45 minutes late.

Almost two hours of great blues. Then, with the last song, Marquise sang a song he wrote reflecting his political views. He needs to learn that the audience pays to be entertained, not lectured on politics. Additionally, if he chooses to use his entertainment as a political platform, he needs to get his facts straight. If he sticks to blues, and leaves his 24 years of political knowledge at home where it belongs, he will be a great blues entertainer.

Marquis sends the audience back in time to a blues world where few have been. He and his band make you feel as though you've been personally selected to attend. Deep voice, lots of soul, screaming guitar, funky rythem, heavy bass, ...body can't stop shakin'. Must see!

Reminds me of a young B.B. King

by Kodiakak on 3/10/15DENA'INA CENTER - ANCHORAGE

Marquise put on a lively Blues and Gospel music and showmanship. He and his band were excellent in every respect. I had the pleasure of meeting Marquise and his band members after the concert. They are truly down-to-earth gentlemen. Marquise is very kind and humble. In fact I told Marquise that he reminded me of a young B.B. King, he replied "ahh man, that's such a great compliment, thank you." I would encourage everyone to fill every seat in the theater next time he comes up.
