Marketa assembled an unique supporting cast that played their roles brilliantly. After a astonishingly extended, varied, percussive ocean drum SOLO, the audience cheered it's approval. Marketa quipped, "C'mom guys, that was the biggest applause of the evening!"
She did not fail to impress either. Marketa (and the drummer) continued their set with a hauntingly beautiful Iranian folk song, and other soft pop songs. Beautiful night with beautiful music.
Althought the opening singer was good...he wasn't an hour good.
Would have made the evening much nicer if Marketa could've brought her majic to the stage earlier. Bowery Ballroom- how about starting earlier (some of us work early) or keeping the warm-up to a half hour?
