You can see & feel the joy this program brings to our youth!

by Juls on 5/15/22Iroquois Amphitheater - Louisville

It is so amazing to see all these young people playing electric orchestra instruments. Mark Wood has made some wonderful instruments and started a program that gets young people interested in playing in the orchestra. If you go to one of his shows with one of the schools you will enjoy it and also see the importance of this program. I do not have a child in his camp or in this program but have been to a couple of shows and I strongly recommend that others do the same.

    Not so hot...

I think that Mark Wood is very talented. However, he should have left his wife at home. I don't mean to sound so harsh, but she was awful. She has a nice voice, but was overly dramatic. She performed as if she were Stevie Nicks at the Garden. It was actually embarrassing. I'm sure she is the one who choreographed the guest vocalists. They were amateurish. Again, embarrassing. I think their son, Elijah Wood, was amazing. He was the best part of the show. The orchestra (Post, HS, and Middle School) was really great. Mark Wood is a bit full of himself. The theater was pretty empty. I'm guessing it was mostly the families of the students who performed. The tickets were not expensive, but still should have been less for the show we saw.

Great showcase for strings students. I loved that Mark allowed the students to perform solo spots and show that strings can be energetic and fun!
