Marina and the Diamonds is the brainchild of Welsh pop star Marina Diamandis, who started performing at a young age in choir productions. She spent her teenage years writing music and released her debut EP Mermaid vs. Sailor in 2007, which attracted attention from label execs and landed her a deal with 679 Recordings. After touring Australia with mainstream act Gotye, Marina released her debut album the Family Jewels in 2010 – a gold-certified record that reached Top 20 spots in six countries and put her on the indie pop radar. Her 2012 follow-up release was even more successful – it debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums chart and made her an international sensation. She’s toured with some of the biggest acts in music including Katy Perry and Coldplay, has headlined several tours of her own, and has won multiple awards throughout her career. With herinimitable style and infectious tunes, Marina shines bright every time she takes the stage.
