Man Astroman totaly lit up Austin. The band performed a killer set. They had a great connection with the fans and were fully into there music and the vibe of the night. I had a great time at the show and hope the return soon.
An exciting show from start to finish. Man or Astroman? plays with a lot of energy in what appears to be completely organized chaos. Not only did they rock very hard, but they are also witty and entertaining. When I first got into their music, they had stopped touring, so i have been waiting a long time to see them.
I went to see The Pack A.D. because I've seen them before and they put on a great show. Man or Astro-Man took it to a whole other level and were brilliant.
Came to see The Pack A.D. and they were awesome. They get 5 stars. If you're going to see MoAM, get there early!
No idea how long it's been since these guys (and the recent gal addition on guitar) rocked NYC, but this was a great show. One choppy surf/punk number delivered after another, a sold out crowd at a fantastic cozy venue & showmanship abounds. Bravo to you & your planet!
Man or Astro-man? It's been a while and I was expecting some kitsch. And as kitschy as they may be, they don't rely on it. The show was loud and hard and fast. Now it's just a blur of reverb-y riffs and drumfill upon drumfill in my head. I mean that in a good way. MOAM? are a super-tight band and have a lot of fun keeping surf rock alive. Also the new songs sound very good.
I've seen them several times and their sci-fi surf themed hard/punk rock hasn't dimmed - they rocked harder than you could possibly imagine...again.
Excellent, welcoming, smoke-free venue* matched with really good sound. Plus the band kicked ass--just like they did 15+ years ago. If I had a time machine, I'd go back enjoy the show all over again. * something we don't always get down here in Florida.
This was awesome fun! The best $15 I have spent in a very long time. Very unlikely anyone could be disappointed!
