Muslim Swedish pop songwriter and producer Maher Zain has built a global fanbase with his uplifting songs of love and gratitude. Zain's music contains a strong religious influence, but fans of all faiths agree that his passionate live show brings people together with a message of acceptance and unity. Whether he's expressing his devotion with fan favorite "Thank You Allah" or praising his mother on "Number One For Me", Zain is a consummate performer who never fails to inspire on tour.
Lebanon-born Maher Zain spent his early childhood in Tripoli before immigrating to Sweden with his family at age eight. After receiving a university degree in aeronautical engineering, he got his start in the music industry as a protégé of now-legendary producer RedOne (Lady Gaga, Akon). After moving to the US and lending his newfound production skills to artists like Kat DeLuna, Zain returned to Sweden and began writing his own R&B-influenced songs. He made his album debut in 2009 with Thank You Allah, an impressive collection of faith-based songs that garnered him a huge following in Islamic countries and among Western Muslims. The album went multi-platinum in Malaysia and Indonesia, and by 2010 it had topped Amazon's World Music Chart. His sophomore album Forgive Me followed in 2012, drawing its lyrical inspiration from the Arab Spring and once again going multi-platinum in Malaysia. An authentic and energetic performer, Zain continues to promote freedom and faith on his unforgettable concert tours.
