About

MAGIC MAN IN CONCERT:

Rising electro-rock act Magic Man are being celebrated by fans and critics alike for their triumphant music and adrenaline-filled live shows. The band takes fans on a journey through "Paris", "Nova Scotia", and "Texas" with an infectious energy and passion that radiates into the crowd. Whether they're filling the room with bright synths or treating concertgoers to material from 2014's Before the Waves, Magic Man knows how to charm the audience every time they take the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Magic Man began in 2009 when childhood friends Alex Caplow and Sam Lee started playing music together while working on a farm in France. They offered up their unofficial debut album Real Life Color on BandCamp the following year and started to gain a cult following in their native Rhode Island. After relocating to Boston and adding Justine Bowe, Nolan Robert, and Daniel Radin to their lineup, Magic Man debuted the new lineup with extensive touring throughout the US. They found widespread success with their 2013 EP You Are Here, which featured popular tracks like "Texas" and "Paris", and were praised by popular music blogs for their anthemic, dance-worthy music. They've toured with synth rock acts like MS MR, Walk the Moon, and Ra Ra Riot and have earned thousands of new fans along the way. With their commanding stage presence and songs from 2014's Before the Waves added to their repertoire, Magic Man always deliver one spellbinding performance after another on their must-see tours.

    Magic Man was indeed Magic!

by surfmonster on 5/15/16The Fillmore - San Francisco

Magic Man put on a truly amazing, over the top show with incredible energy. Great musicians with polished stage presence...all having fun at the same time. Crowd energy was awesome with a powerful positive energy vibe that you just don't get enough in today's mainstream. Both Panama Wedding and The Griswolds masterfully built the platform and then Magic Man took everyone away to that indescribable place where nothing else matters. I have seen so many concerts over the years and this was shockingly unique and right up there. You gotta get out and see them. I won't miss them next time around!

    Panama Wedding celebration

by ThrockmortontheFirst on 5/11/16The Fillmore - San Francisco

Interestingly enough, the highlight of this concert was absolutely the opening act, Panama Wedding, fronted by Peter Kirk. Loved their music, excellent, catchy songs, really well performed. Check them out! My only complaint, their set was too short!

by tinebelcher on 5/9/16Madrid Theatre - Kansas City

i went to griswolds because they are so amazing but ended up loving every band that played. I've been listening to all three bands non stop for the past three weeks.

    High-energy fun!

by Anonymous on 4/25/16Newport Music Hall - Columbus

What an amazing concert! First time seeing Panama Wedding and loved them. Third time seeing The Griswolds and they did not disappoint. They are so much fun and always take the time to interact with fans before or after the show. Magic Man was just as great and the encore with all 3 bands was great. One of the best concerts ever!

    Amazing Line Up

by VioletsCloverleaf on 4/25/16Newport Music Hall - Columbus

Panama Wedding opened the show and set the stage for a fun filled night. The Griswolds were full of energy and Magic Man had a strong stage presence. They were all amazing live. My favorite was Panama Wedding.

    Great Bands... Terrible sound

    by Diz2 on 4/15/16Royale Boston - Boston

All the bands had a lot of energy, but Magic Man was over indexed on the vocals which drowned out the rest of the band. It's too bad because I went to the show last year and they sounded just as good as they did on the album. Still a good time, and I recruited a bunch of people to go, but I won't be able to pull that off next time.

Vinyl Theatre and Magic Man were PHENOMENAL!!

by Vinyllove on 4/3/15House of Blues Houston - Houston

My friend and I got tickets to see the opening band, Vinyl Theatre, and stayed to see Magic Man's headlining performance. One word- phenomenal!! Love Vinyl Theatre of course, and were able to stay after and meet them. Magic man was freaking amazing! First time hearing them, but definitely a fan now! The HOB Houston staff were extremely nice. One of the security guards was sure to thank us and wished us a good night as we left. Loved the venue! The bronze peacock is a small, intimate venue where the bands could actually see individuals in the audience. Overall, great great night! Definitely made my Monday much better.

I WOULD PAY 200 DOLLARS TO SEE THEM AGAIN IDC

by mariavianey on 4/2/15House of Blues Houston - Houston

Tickets are dirt cheap, I mean, 25 dollars was literally nothing compared to the experience Magic Man gave the audience. They connected w their fans and played so well live, I had nothing to complain about-even their opening acts were fantastic, I can't wait until I see them again

    Magic man was great!

by Elyse1234 on 3/22/15Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

Although it was standing room only, the overall experience of the concert was very nice. I had never even heard of the bands that opened, but I thought they were pretty decent. Alex from Magic man has such a great stage presence, and he really knows how to interact with the fans. He even stayed after until every fan got a hug and a picture with him. I loved that. The sound was really nice and I came out wanting to buy songs from them. Well done!
