What a beautiful venue and a wonderful show. Really enjoy the singer songwriter shows. The stories told and how and why songs are written is amazing! Both Lyle and John were great!!
I did not drive an hour and a half to hear a couple of old guys talk about their lives. I coulda stayed home and got that for free. Too much talking. I was so upset that I left early. Shame, I really like these guys too.
Great concert, artist and venue!!! It's a drive from O.C. , but worth it. Easy parking in and out. The theater is small. But most importantly, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt were amazing!
Absolutely love Lyle Lovett !! He never disappoints. And John Hiatt was a perfect match. I love his large band but this was great as well. I loved the banter back and forth as well as the music. Wonderful! But the seating at Pechanga felt very cramped and uncomfortable like economy seats on an airline. They obviously crammed as many seats in as possible and made it so difficult to sit or maneuver. Was a nightmare with people trying to get to center seats. It felt cramped and claustrophobic- people next to us were older and larger and very much uncomfortable to the point of leaving. Sad. I’ll definitely think twice about going there in the future.
Simply amazing to see two great talents, so at ease and enjoying themselves. one of the most intimate heartfelt performances I’ve had the pleasure to attend.
It was a gift to spend an evening with these two greats!
Great venue and a tremendous show by Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt. Those two have a great repertoire between them, could be a comedy duo. May try a see them again
John’s voice was spot on and Lyle was as cool as ever. Totally enjoyed the evening!
Loved this concert. Such a treat to sit and listen to these two great musicians talk and play their acoustic guitars. We felt lucky to be a part of it. The Uptown is such a wonderful small venue.
It was a great, two masters of song writing talking and sharing who they are and their music for a couple of hours. It was like watching two friends talk to each other about their day, their family, how the songs they wrote came about and of course good music. Seemed off the cuff, not scripted and it was a great to find that after doing this through 25 events, they could still surprise each other with a song that they had not played at one of the previous events. I am a big fan of both artists, and my husband is not, matter of fact, this is not even the type of music he likes; he loved the concert too, got a better insight into the two artists and into why their songs mean so much to me and now him.
