My second year attending and 2017 did not disappoint. From Friday night through Sunday Night, there was never a dull moment. Brian Culbertson kept me moving and grooving while Lalah Hathaway crooned in to the night BUT Jeffery Osborne's velvety voice had the audience Woo Woo Woo'ing. Already making plans for next year!. Great music for a great cause. Educate the future; thank you Dr. Thaddeus Bell.
I have been coming for the past five years and the shows are always awesome. The trip to Charleston is always enjoyable and the customer service is top notch. See you next year!!!
Another great year of music. My favorites: Avery Sunshine what a talent, Will Downing outstanding & Peabo Bryson sounds just as he did back in the day. He hasn't missed a beat & can still make my toes curl. Just a wonderful weekend in No Charleston.
I have seen the same Will Downing performance three times (please stop). Avery and Nick where fantastic, my first time seeing both.
They were awesome!!!!!!! This is why I come to these shows .
THE FUNK AND JAZZ BAND WAS AMAZING, Avery Sunshine was very warm and personal.

Friday was energetic jazz, Saturday was extra jazzy and Sunday just plain old awesome. Brian Culbertson with his high spirit stage presence coupled with the sensational jazz was fantastic. Will Downing was as smooth and sexy as ever. Peabody Bryson just took control and took my breath away‼️
The Friday night event featuring Dave Koz, David Sanborn and Brian Culbertson was amazing! There was a lot of high energy generated on both the artist and audience levels. We chose to not attend on Saturday, as the only artist that met the definition of a Smooth Jazz artists was Nick Colionne, whom we saw last year at the same festival. Peabo Bryson is an amazing artist, but he is not a jazz performer, so we left before his performance. Chuck Loeb, Everett Harp and Jeff Lorber were fabulous, although we wish the set could have been longer. We would prefer that if the Lowcountry JAZZ Festival is to continue, that the performers actually be jazz artists - preferably Smooth Jazz. We wish Dave, Koz and David Sanborn would have been available in the lobby to sign CDs, but we understand they had a plane to catch for their final tour concert.
My first time at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center but it definitely won't be the last!!! The sound quality in the center was excellent and the artists were wonderful. I always love to hear Will Downing and AverySunshine was a pleasant surprise. This was my first time hearing her live but it won't be my last time either!
