LO-FANG IN CONCERT:
Dreamy synth-pop crooner Lo-Fang was handpicked to tour North America and the UK with young superstar Lorde, and for good reason -- his genre-bending music and soaring vocals are an irresistible combo that have fans, critics, and fellow musicians taking notice. Whether he's mixing strings and banjo alongside sparkling synths on "Look Away" or serenading fans with "When We're Fire", Lo-Fang is quickly winning new devotees both at home and abroad with his enchanting live performances. Equally adept both in the studio and on the stage, Lo-Fang is a hot new star who only promises to get hotter.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Los Angeles native Matthew Hemerlein conceived his debut album while traveling the world, penning songs in unconventional places like hotel rooms and trains. The resulting album Blue Film was released in early 2014 to rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The classically trained multi-instrumentalist pairs his brooding voice with orchestral strings and rich synths to create a sound entirely his own. He’s also a gifted live performer and has played to sold-out crowds on Lorde's world tour, where his music was introduced to tens of thousands of new fans. Whether he’s opening for fellow stars or headlining his own shows, Lo-Fang always lives up to his reputation as a stellar musician with unforgettable performances.
Beautiful music with an appreciative audience!!!!!!
An absolutely amazing and talented performer. The whole audience loved him. He's a gem and I'm so glad I got to see him live, and meet him afterwards! A really genuine guy.
I saw Lo-Fang at first city music festival and he was actually one of the main reasons i purchased my ticket! He was so hauntingly beautiful and his voice filled the small grass area, people who didnt know him were coming to see him and I loved the songs he played, he talked to us and even stayed after to talk and take a couple pictures with me!
