About

LITTLE DAYLIGHT IN CONCERT:

Brooklyn alt-pop outfit Little Daylight has made a name for itself with an upbeat, arena-sized sound that combines the best of '80s synthpop with modern rock elements. The group's catchy combination of anthemic guitars, bubbling synths, and heavy-hitting drums is the stuff that dance parties are made of, and the band loses no time getting fans moving at their adrenaline-filled live shows. Smoldering frontwoman Nikki Taylor floats her silky voice over party-worthy tracks like "Mona Lisa" and "Overdose" with a passion and intensity that's contagious, making for an electric and mesmerizing concert experience ticket buyers won't soon forget.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Little Daylight formed in 2012 when Nikki Taylor, Matt Lemkowicz, and Eric Zeiler holed up in a friend's lake house and began remixing tracks by bands like The Neighbourhood, Passion Pit, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. By the end of their stay they had penned their own original material, and in 2013 they debuted their new tracks at SXSW. They signed to Capitol Records shortly after, releasing their debut EP Tunnel Vision on the label in August of 2013. The EP's lead single "Overdose" quickly reached No. 1 on the Hype Machine, earning the band heaps of buzz and leading to tours with Charli XCX and Bastille. In 2014 Little Daylight released their full-length debut album Hello Memory, an auspicious collection of sparkling synth-based songs they self-produced in a Brooklyn carriage house. Since then they've lit up stages around the country with encore-worthy performances that have fans eager to catch their upcoming shows.

Loved Little Daylight and thought their energy was great. Nikki Taylor's voice is incredible live. The only negative was they didn't get on stage until 11:15pm on Monday. Highly recommend seeing them as Hello Memory is a great album.

    Little Daylight!

by BEKD on 8/13/14The Basement - Columbus

This was the first time that I saw Little Daylight live and they were great. I really enjoyed the energy that they had on stage and loved their catchy songs. They have quickly become one of my many favorite bands. They have a cool feel and are really approachable. I loved that they had songs that were meaningful and had stories behind them as well. Matt has amazing skills being able to play the guitar and the drums. Young Rising Sons were the opening act and they were fantastic. I've been wanting to see these guys for awhile and they are fantastic. It's amazing how far they have come. They had a lot of energy out of their set and their songs were great. Overall these are both great bands. If you like indie/alternative, electronic/pop music, then you will enjoy both of these bands.

    Little Daylight

by dunesgirl on 8/10/14The Basement - Columbus

Little Daylight was ok; the fellow playing the keyboards and drums simultaneously was very cool. The venue's accoustics were not very good. Really LOVED the opener, Young Rising Sons. Great energy and sound.
