Born in Toronto, Lindi Ortega got her start in music at the age of 17 when she picked up the family guitar and wrote her first song about not attending the prom. After spending several years honing her craft, she released her debut The Taste of Forbidden Fruit in 2001. After touring and further developing her songwriting she released her sophomore LP Fall From Grace in 2007. She continued to make her mark in the music industry with her next two EPs – a self-titled release and The Drifter -- that both premiered in 2008 and spawned several tours alongside major acts like Noah and the Whale and Keane. Since then she’s released three more acclaimed albums, been nominated for two Juno Awards, and made several appearances on late night talk shows.
