About

Lil Wayne in Concert

With four Grammys and eight consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard Rap Albums chart, the luster of Lil Wayne’s accomplishments as a rapper rivals the bling of his signature gold chains and grill. With the release of 2013’s I Am Not a Human Being II, Wayne landed four more singles on the Billboard Hot 100, edging out Elvis Presley to became the male with the most entries on the chart – a whopping 109 in total. Singles like “Love Me” and “No Worries” featured his characteristic use of Auto-Tune to create a highly melodic hybrid of rap and R&B, propelling the album to a No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200. After becoming the youngest member on Cash Money Records’ roster when he joined the imprint at age nine, Wayne rose to fame with his group Hot Boys before achieving success as a solo artist. His instantly recognizable sound has been honed over 11 studio albums and made famous by hits like “Lollipop”, “How to Love”, and “She Will”. On the road with 2 Chainz in 2013 for the America’s Most Wanted Tour, Wayne treated ticket buyers to his hit-filled live concert, serving it all up with a hearty side of swagger.

    by Natasha Moore on 4/8/24

Been waiting to see lil Wayne since I started listening to him back in the block is hot days & I WASNT DISAPPOINTED!!! Crowd was so lit & yeah some people complained he didn't sing full songs but he also managed to sing atleast 20 songs in the time he was on stage. I'd definitely pay to see him again & hope he comes back! My husband didn't even wanna go & I think he was just as hype as I was 💯

    He deserves more.

Often times worse performers have came into that venue and have had streets named after them or even been given a key to the city. I feel Lil Wayne earned that and more! Shame on that venue.

    Kind of Whack

by Zeppingt on 4/4/24The Santander Arena - Reading

Lil Wayne put on a good show. Didn’t come out till 10:30 pm though. That was after they had 4 openers when only one was posted on Ticketmaster. During his set he had another two artists come out and perform two songs a piece. He wasn’t featured on these songs just random guys.

A pretty big let down, to be honest.

by ES on 4/3/24The Santander Arena - Reading

I’ve seen lil Wayne in the past and RAVED about how great of a show he put on. I was so excited to see that he was going to be in my area again and hurried to get tickets. The venue wasn’t the issue, but the show itself was, to put it simply, bizarre. The first 2 hours or so was just a DJ (who was entertaining at least!) with a mix of different opening acts in between. None of them were very impressive, and I hate to admit that at all. Then, finally, weezy came out. He sounded NOTHING like he did in the shows I saw in ‘08 and ‘10. The sound of his voice was almost unrecognizable, he sang only 1/3 of each song, all of which promptly ended in “thank you” and proceeded to do the same for each of them following. Let me be clear, I LOVED lil Wayne, and still love all of his records, but this live show was truthfully a painful disappointment, and it was sad.

    A concert of openers

by E.W. on 4/2/24The Santander Arena - Reading

Lil Wayne was great but his set was only about 45 minutes with an intermission of some off brand rapper. The concert was supposed to start at 8:30, he didn’t go on until 10:30. Way too many openers including a duet of 11 year old rappers and a really boring act from Washington that really killed the mood. The DJ who entertained between openers was great. Overall, it was a lot of build up for very little Lil Wayne with an abrupt ending.

    “We Want Wayne!!!”

by ZR on 4/2/24The Santander Arena - Reading

The energy in the venue was intense. The fans were so thirsty for Tunchi. We were literally chanting “We want Wayne”. Sold out show!!! No one sat down. Wayne came out the building erupted, he got right to it and immediately started to perform. He could’ve performed any and everything it wouldn’t have mattered the man has hits. I wanted him to go all night long I’m sure we all did. All in All amazing experience, I’m thrilled that I was able to see “ My #1 Greatest/Favorite Rapper Alive” Lil Wayne.

    Loved it

by DisneyGirl on 4/2/24The Santander Arena - Reading

Loved Lil Wayne’s performance. The seating was worth the price. Only complaint was that I would have liked Weezy to perform more of his songs vs hearing from other uprising artist.
