    The Best Thing About January

by Elle Swan on 1/23/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

I’ve been attending LOD for years, and this was by far the best. Every venue, every act, the vibe was all just outstanding.

Light of Day Asbury Blues/Cover me

by Dave F on 1/23/24The Wonder Bar - Asbury Park

Had a Fantastic weekend once again. The Gab Cinque Band was a really nice surprise, man they rocked Heart and their Lead singer kicked butt sounding exactly like Ann Wilson (Not an easy thing to do!!). My only complaint was, there is no re-entry, not sure why since we were able to do that in previous years but couldnt get to the All Together show at the Break. The Asbury music scene should be fluid where you should be able to. one around depending on who is playing.....It use to be but for some reason the Wonder bar doesnt allow it

    A Great Night of Music

by Ken on 1/23/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

I have had the pleasure of attending the Light of Day concert several times over the last few years. This year's version was tighter and more packed with talent than almost any other that I've seen, and that's saying a lot. There was not a bad moment in the show. Two highlights were definitely Remember Jones and Fantastic Cat. I will be looking for both of them again to try and catch a full show. Looking forward to attending the 25th next year!!

It was a very fun night. Well organized, enthusiastic performances and a classy crowd. The Basie was the perfect venue for this charity event. Kudos to all!

    Will call confusion

by Barbara on 1/17/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

Bought tix online, no mention of will call status. A week later I receive email saying an error was made with delivery and they are now Will Call. I call the box office several times, no answer. I call the director to find out what happens if I can’t attend for whatever reason. I’m 4 hours away. Finally find out that it is possible to give them to someone else, just call them. When I arrive at the other venue in Asbury Park a day before the event to get a wristband which was part of the combo ticket, there are my tickets! I was never notified that they would be there! I’m glad I didn’t go to the Count Basie theater for them because they weren’t there!

Great talent way too loud and distorted sound

by Ann on 1/17/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

We sat on the main floor, center orchestra row V… excellent seats but the sound was way too loud and affected the quality. It’s a nice theater and this just isn’t necessary to blast rock n roll. Yes pushing 70, but many of my friends, who go to shows regularly agreed. One said “I sought refuge in the lobby” it’s s good cause though
