About

LEWIS DEL MAR IN CONCERT:

Experimental folk-pop duo Lewis Del Mar set the internet ablaze in 2015 with their buzzworthy debut single "Loud(y)", an attention-grabbing mix of warm acoustic guitar and acerbic industrial beats that sounded unlike anything to come out of Brooklyn in recent years. Thanks to their unique sound the pair has become critical darlings almost overnight, making their major label debut in early 2016 with a self-titled EP and blowing minds on tour with electrifying live shows that add a bit of grit and distortion to their slick sound. In concert singer/guitarist Danny Miller and producer/multi-instrumentalist Max Harwood are joined by a full band, and together the group brings fresh cuts like "Memories" and "Malt Liquor" to life with inventive drumming, buzzing synths, and fuzzed-out electric guitar. Miller is an incredible performer who sings and plays his acoustic with serious gusto, and the rest of the band matches his intensity blow for blow with an infectious zeal that always gets ticket buyers moving their feet. Lewis Del Mar is one of those rare acts who manage to sound both timeless and fresh as heck, and fans lucky enough to catch them on their rise will have plenty to brag about when the masses catch on.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Childhood friends Danny Miller and Max Harwood grew up in Washington, D.C., where they played together in a garage rock trio before Brooklyn's music scene drew them to NYC in 2013. After honing a unique sound that combined Miller's singer-songwriter skills with Harwood's drumming and sampling prowess, they made their debut as Lewis Del Mar in 2015 with the track "Loud(y)". The song was a viral sensation, shooting to No. 1 on The Hype Machine and leaving labels jockeying to ink them to a deal. After signing with Columbia the pair dropped their self-titled debut EP in early 2016, earning praise from major outlets like Billboard and Vice. With extensive touring in support of big acts like BÿRNS and Glass Animals slated for 2016, Lewis Del Mar has fans dying to rock out to their new material in concert.

    Worth the 2 hour trip!

by Jela on 10/12/21The Foundry - Philadelphia

Missed out on tickets to the Brooklyn show so we traveled to Philly, and we have no regrets! Great energy, awesome opener, and we got to meet the drummer!

Solid night but only stayed for opener

by Stefan on 10/12/21Bowery Ballroom - New York

Came to see Elah Hale and I was a blast as I’ve been a fan of theirs for a long time now but didn’t stay for the rest of the night due to something I had to take care of.

    Oversold Nightmare

by Gabbie on 9/24/21Marquis Theater - Denver

We arrived over 30 minutes before the main act and there was absolutely no place to see the stage. Other people were arriving after us as well. I’ve never been to a concert where I’ve only been able to see the ceiling. We were packed like sardines in the middle of a pandemic.

    Incredible

by kels19 on 5/12/17A and R Music Bar - Columbus

I didn't know if these guys could pull off the same sound they have on their flawless record. They did, and then some. The energy was phenomenal, the crowd was into it, and so was the band. Fantastic live performers. Highly recommend. A&R is always one of my favorite venues as well, I travel from out of town (3 hours) just for this place.

Amazing, no words. The energy that this band brings to the stage is unknown, and they're the nicest guys ever. We were lucky enough to go to two of their concerts and got to meet them both times. They're just awesome, I would recommend this to everyone

great show in a small venue

by PhatMoby on 11/4/16Rickshaw Stop - San Francisco

These guys did as promised and played their asses off. The crowd was into it - knew their songs. Sound was quite good - filled up the little Rickshaw Stop quite nicely. They played a bunch of new songs that I'd never heard (don't think anyone had heard them) - they were some great tunes. Seeing a great band in a small venue is always a special experience - these guys will be playing bigger venues in the future - they have too many good songs.

    Lewis Del Mar Rocked recordBar

    by LMC58 on 10/19/16recordBar - Kansas City

Incredible small venue show. The change of pace between Danny's vocals + acoustic beach rock strumming, to bass-laden rock out sessions were beautifully done. Powerful & flawless performance.
