The Quickest Show I've seen.
by Wransom on 8/23/13Howard Theatre - WashingtonI went to see Letoya at the Howard Theater. I was somewhat disappointed at the show in its entirity. Frist of all the opening acts, one was horrible the other one was okay. Most of the openers were singing other people's song s like a cover band I dont really have a problem with that but, You figure if do get a chance to open for someone established already that you should make a effort to present more of your own original material for the audience. Also The Howard has a horrible sound system. There isnt much low end sound. It doesn't balanced. I think the sound system didnt help anyone on stage. Now for Letoya I was disappointed at how long she was on stage 35 minutes.. Now I understand she only has 2 albums how long can your show be, right. I thought she would maybe do 8 song set you know at least the sigles that were released off both albums . she did 4 or her songs, sung Love by Musiq, had the dj to play a three song 2:00min Destiny's Child Medley, and a quit crowd participation of Karyn White's Super Woman. I was not impressed with what was considered a show. I wish she would have at least blessed the crowd with one or two of the new songs she has been recording for the past 3 years for a album that only god knows will be released. There were alot of hardcore fans there who came out to support. In a climate where its hard to sell records an stay releavant. I just think she dropped the ball. I still enjoy her music though, I will just think twice about going to another live show.
