Let It Be - The Beatles return!

by kspicoult on 5/28/18Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

I cannot say enough about this show. We loved the music -- we grew up with it. I truly appreciated the dedication to the music, especially the drums being covered with towels to muffle the sounds for the appropriate selections they played. Trust me; I have read A Lot about how they created their music! We had a rockin' good time at the (historic) Akron Civic Theater enjoying the group Let It Be perform Beatles music from their concert beginnings through post (divorced so to speak) Beatles. I heard songs I've never heard Beatles tribute bands perform -- Slow Down, Because, Let It Be; it was a great evening!! It was a great concert. They broke the first half into musical phases the Beatles went through. The second half was an imaginary reunion of the group in Oct 1980. They mixed in songs written and/or performed by individuals after the breakup with more Beatles music. We really were intrigued with the 1980 "reunion" the group performed. One could "imagine" (no pun intended) the group getting back together after 10 years time of not recording or performing together. It was great and a element to the concert we really enjoyed!

    Fantastic!

by Jaks1210 on 4/21/18New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

The show was amazing - the first half highlighted the early years, right up to the inevitable break-up. The second half imagines John’s 40th birthday and a reunion concert that never was. The entire show brought people to their feet, had the audience singing and dancing in the aisles and shining cell phone lights like lighters. The musicians were spot-on brilliant - a talented bunch of guys who embody and invoke the spirit of the Beatles. Hands down, it was a superb show and my family is still talking about the guitar solo at the end of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Let It Be show was excellent

by Skpod on 4/18/18New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

These guys were talented musicians as well as impersonators. The changing costumes and matching sets represented all the Beatles' different eras well. The imaginary Beatles reunion concert was a brilliant idea. The band played all the hit songs with great energy. All in all, my friends and I had a blast!

    Let It Be Rules

by OneonOneFan on 4/18/18New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

What a show, absolutely fabulous. Every song which covered the Early Beatles right through to their break-up and beyond was done so well. Did very little sitting, lots of standing, clapping, dancing and singing. This was my 65th Birthday gift and for 4 hours I felt like I was a teenager again. Had a wonderful time. Saw this on Broadway several years ago. It was great, but I think this cast was even better. I will be singing Beatles for weeks (well, more then usually)

    Really Good Looks & Sound

by Bren0416 on 4/18/18New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

We were impressed by the show for the look and sound they had. They play a wide variety from The Beatles and solo catalogs. It’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to see The Beatles live!

    Let It Be

by JasonJefferson on 4/16/18Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

This show far exceeded my expectations. What a fun night and great crowd too. All of the performers were top-notch and the song selection ran the gambit from early Beatles classics to post-Beatles solo performances . The highlight was a sizzling performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Another great show at the best venue around, The Akron Civic Theater.
