    LOW ENERGY

by WhatDidIJustSee on 2/13/18B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Very disappointing, SHORT concert. If Leslie was sick, he should have cancelled the event. It was an expensive night as I ordered VIP table for birthday guests. Leslie's songs were unrecognizable, unenthusiastic and he was overheard making snarky comments about wanting to get out of there.

    Time to break

by apfan2 on 11/14/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

After obvious decline in health Mr. West should consider a break. Underwhelming show, very different from a couple of years back. Get well soon!!

the Mountain Man is hanging on..

by TangoBob on 11/14/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

One of rock's most iconic guitarists can still play in his inventive style. It's just that he can't do it for a length of time. His set was less than an hour, and included about 10 minutes of, rather impressive, bass and drum solos. Two classics from his late friend, Jack Bruce, were included and the old Mountain tunes were good. However, his omission of the best part of Nantucket Sleighride was massively disappointing. His solo in that tune is the most simplistically brilliant riff/solo of all time and he didn't play it!!!

    Time to retire

by nefire on 11/14/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Spent a lot of money to travel and see Leslie West. He came out complaining about his voice. Did not play any real songs, just an half hour jam. Paid for meet and greet just to get a handshake and he yelled out to his wife who’s next, how many more, I have to get out of here. Been a fan a long time, love his music but this felt like a money grab not a show. Opening act was great, Leslie’s bass player and drummer were great on stage and at meet and greet.

    The Big Man

by 1black on 6/29/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Great show as usual...saw him last time here. Fun stories and comments makes him feel like a buddy. Would like a little longer show though.

The King of Tone Still has it. Not to be missed.

by GreatFatsbies on 11/2/16B.B. Kings - New York

Leslie once again blew out an incredible set on the King of Tone's 71st Birthday (Ok a few days later) standing room only crowd at BB Kings! Bassist Peter Baron really shined this night, always being there for one of his idols Leslie West, and the respect clearly showed on stage. A KILLER version of "For Yasgar's Farm" was a highlight for me. Leslie's tone & vibrato was razor sharp. EVERYONE in the audience was jazzed. Noone in their 70s is playing this good. Still LOUD, still proud and still THE BEST, Leslie West.

Leslie West without Corkey climbs no mountain

by TMVW on 5/4/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

I first saw Leslie West play in 1971 in Detroit's Eastowne Theater. Last Saturday's show at BB King was a sloppy mess. It was obvious that a soundcheck did not occur before the show. My brother came all the way from Michigan to NYC to see a legend and what we saw was a catastrophe. We left the show early. Please give me a refund.

    leslie west

by paps57 on 5/3/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

I love Leslie but the show had some issues. BB Kings service was not great. Leslie was not in great shape but he held his own. Bass player and Drummer were not great. Almost like they never played with him. Mr. West is a legend but he needs to surround himself with a better team.
