    Les Mis

by EllieLou on 3/21/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The show was amazing! The set was incredible and moved seamlessly from scene to scene. The use of the background screen was very realistic. The singers...unbelievably talented!

    Wonderful Afternoon

by Tammie on 3/21/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

I have seen Les Mis numerous times, and this was the best production I've seen. I loved the set, the costumes, and the talent of the singers was as close to perfect as possible. They were amazing individually, but in the group songs, they literally took my breath away!

Chills. Tears. AMAZING performance. The voices were unbelievable. Les Mis is my favorite musical. And the cast more than did this show justice. They were all absolutely amazing. 10/10.

    Not my cup of tea

by Joe on 3/19/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Singing was excellent although some verse hard to understand. Overall dreary both stage and story. I suppose that's why it's titled Les Miserables.

    Could do better

by Felix on 3/19/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

I have seen Les Mis since it originally played in Broadway so I’m very familiar with the plot. I was not satisfied with the vocals of the female performers. The men were ok but I felt that the women were forcing it. I don’t think they did justice to the original sound track. Sorry.

    Always Superb

by Patti on 3/19/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The talent in this show was spectacular! I couldn’t get a seat upfront like I usually like but even the seats in the back were nice. The Bistro really is the seal to a great night! So happy that we have this in Buffalo!

    Sheas Theater needs an overhaul

by Bram on 3/19/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Sheas really needs to improve the comfort of their theater. The seats are too close - no matter where you sit. There are not enough women’s restrooms. Why do they wait so long to open the auditorium doors? It creates a packed hallway which is not safe to have so many people crammed in that you can’t move. You can’t even get to the bar to buy drinks. The whole theater experience is very disappointing and simply uncomfortable. The show was fantastic but for the price - not worth it.

    Wonderful

by Ana on 3/19/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The show was really good, and I was surprised at all the changes in the script and scenes. Some great and some ok. I was wanting to see the authentic Les Mis myself, the one my heart knows inside and out. The new take was a little bit disappointing because I wasn’t prepared for it. However the characters and music was absolutely on point and mind blowing. Well Done.

    Great experience with few exceptions

by EmyH on 3/19/24Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The venue, Shea Theatre in Buffalo, is gorgeous but there are a few seats around the edges of the theatre that should remain empty since visibility is so obstructed — and my seat was one of them. The presales made purchasing quality seats impossible. That theatre is too large for a visual performance - its better for music. This musical should have been at a smaller theatre. The ushers/staff at Shea's are top notch and were very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. There are not enough restroom stalls to comfortably accommodate guests during intermission to allow returning to your seat in the allotted time. The play itself is exceptional. The effects, lighting, performers, and orchestra is outstanding. I do wish I could have experienced all of it, but again my view was limited by poor seating - partially because of structures on the front sides of the stage that possibly are used to house lighting. My experience in Buffalo overall was great since every business/restaurant I visited had very kind and friendly staff.
