Leo Kottke as good as ever

by Wojciech Zorniak on 4/19/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Leo Kottke never disappoints. A master guitar player and storyteller. Great as usual . I have seen him (and interviewed him) many times over the years . Going to his concert is the best musical therapy. Takes care of my daily problems. This time I took my 25 year old son with me . Who would have thought that “Vaseline Machine Gun” could be our generational bridge?

    A one person symphony

by Cecile on 4/17/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Leo Kottke plays ALL the parts. Beautiful music. The sound he accomplishes with one guitar is awe inspiring.

    Auditorium Not for Everyone

by ALB on 4/17/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Leo is always great but if you get stuck with bad seats you will not be able to see him. Next time we will sit out front under the wide screen.

Fabulous evening...simply talent on the stage

by LL on 3/14/24Five Flags Center - Dubuque

No flash, no lasers, no backup, no backdrops. Purely talent from one man and his guitar. Life stories, laughter, and beautiful music. SOLID entertainment.

by Jeanie Wallenstein on 12/7/23Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

I have listened to Leo for about 5 decades. He is wholly original in style and ever better than I expected live. I will cherish the experience always.

    The Incomparable Leo Kottke

by Donatello on 12/6/23Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

I've been going to see Leo perform since 1980. I will continue to go see him perform as long as possible. I was however a bit disappointed that he did not play the 12 string. Whenever he picked it up in prior performances the audience would always react with approving applause, myself very much included. Hopefully next time I see him play, I hope he devotes playing time to the 12 string. Nobody plays it like he does, nobody!

by MrsW on 12/6/23Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

I’ve been listening to him since the 1970s. He’s amazing and amusing. I feel privileged to see him again at the Northshore Theatre. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you for bringing him to our community.

Wish he would have played the 12 string

by Aglobalguy on 12/6/23Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - Skokie

He’s getting up there in years and I could understand where a 12 string might hurt his fingers, but it was a minor complaint. Overall a great show!

Leo Kottke is an American original, a master of the guitar. An evening spent with him is always a feast of brilliant music and great storytelling. He is simply amazing.

    A guitar legend!

by Jenn C on 2/2/23Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

I first saw Leo Kotke live in 1986 in NC. He was impressive then and I wasn’t sure if he could still pull off those dazzling feats of guitar magic now. He can and did! His unique technique was on fine display and I think every person in the audience felt energized by the performance
