About

Larry David co-created "Seinfeld," which debuted in 1989 and ran for nine seasons. As head writer and executive producer, the pressure of delivering a weekly show led to his abuse of anabolic steroids, which contributed to his ill-temper and shrunken testicles. In 1999, HBO aired his onehour special, "Curb Your Enthusiasm," which spawned the series. In it, he plays an incredibly gifted, loveable writer who spreads bonhomie and good cheer to everyone fortunate enough to encounter him. During one of "Curb's" many long hiatuses, David created two new shows, "Girls" and "Orange is the New Black." To better understand the motivation of his female characters, he began cross-dressing and moved into the Barbizon Hotel for Women. He was evicted after his true identity was uncovered when he evacuated naked from a fire started by his roommate who forgot to unplug her curling iron. After a spiritual sabbatical in Poland, he returned to the US in 2009 to star in Woody Allen's comedy, "Whatever Works." The movie garnered David the prestigious Gottlieb Award for "Best Actor with No Training and No Idea What He Was Doing." Then in 2013, he co-wrote and starred in the HBO Films' comedy, "Clear History," elevating him to cult hero status amongst illiterates and diabetics. In 2015, he made his Broadway debut at the Cort Theater as an actor and playwright in "Fish in the Dark," which he penned over a three-day span while sitting on the toilet. The play broke all Broadway records for most coughing by an audience during a performance. He's currently pursuing his real estate license and can be contacted through the Inland Empire branch of "Century 21."

    Just an average interview

by S.O on 4/6/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

There is no special content in the show. Simply an interview. I was hoping to see a special content from Larry David and was very excited about it. It’s dissapointing to see him just answering the ordinary questions about his career.

    LD was great; disappointing moderator

by VnessinMA on 4/4/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

LD was enjoyable and humorous to listen to. The MGM Music Hall was great. However, I was incredibly disappointed in the moderator. He had an awkward way of interacting and could not seem to engage with the audience or conduct a Q&A well. His comments and questions did not flow.

    Larry David Concersation

by Hope123 on 4/4/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

I absolutely love Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm and was excited to see Larry David in Boston but what a disappointment for the price ($300/ticket). The best part was the 10 minutes of best of Curb Your Enthusiasm video clips. Show started at 7:45pm and ended by 9:15pm (including video). The conversation with moderator was not well done - slow, not very engaging or interesting.

    Good minus Bill Simmons

by CurbFan on 4/4/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

The event was fine and it was a rare opportunity to see Larry live which I had to take - though I wouldn't pay that much again for a similar event. If you were an avid fan you likely didn't learn too much from the conversation, but it was great to hear real time stories straight from the legend himself. The only downside was Bill Simmons was a terrible moderator - he kept interjecting sports into the conversation, didn't ask great questions that required a story to answer and overall made the discussion feel pretty choppy. You really needed a comic or even someone else from the show to have participated so that there could have been some banter back and forth.

Good - could have been better

by Mike on 4/4/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

It started out great with 10 minute montage of some videos. First 70% was entertaining. It started to drag at the end. I think we could’ve improved. It is if he had played a couple clips and talked the storyline behind. It shouldn’t take questions from the audience, people can’t hear the questions and most of them were dominant and didn’t really need to be asked, some people try to make it about them. Don’t need to do it either have a place where you can write them down as you enter and staff can go through a handful and answer that way or just don’t do it …I thought it was a good show but it could’ve been so much better!

    Frustrated

by Cynthia on 4/4/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

I bought very expensive tickets. 3 row. Hadn’t been to venue and didn’t know about the floor seating on fold up chairs with no angling making my vision blocked. I lest with a sore neck. Had I known would have set up on mezz. Disappointed.

by Stank dawg on 4/4/24MGM Music Hall at Fenway - Boston

Larry was just as hilarious in person as he is on screen. Show was def for the Curb super fan. Was really his life in review. Wondering if a casual fan would have been disapoineted

My first time at the Anthem. LD was awesome, as was Marc Maron. The staff of the Anthem was helpful and really efficient. 5 stars all around.
