It was an absolute pleasure watching Lang Lang perform live. The Ontario Philharmonic was fantastic. The guest performances were also wonderful and most were Canadian. Lang Lang was gracious to the audience. I would highly recommend this event.
Lang Lang is a fantastic pianist but the show itself was only ok. The choice of music became somewhat boring after a while being it was all variations. After the formal concert Lang Lang did play three more pieces in the Lang Lang style we were hoping to see the entire night.
Much of the experience ruined by surrounding audiences scrolling on their phones and taking photos and videos during the performance. Theatre staffs could have taken more measures to prevent that from happening.
Great Show and Performance! It was the best way to spend Valentine's Day
I can't remember the last time I saw anything at Radio City, but from where we sat in the 1st mezzanine (center both left to right and forward and back), it sounded like mono audio from an old timey radio.
Note I am a fan of Lang Lang, bought his records, seen him before at Lincoln center, so was really looking forward to the show, am a huge fan of Disney as well. What a disappointment, no life to this show, as bland can be the only highlight was the 4 Spanish tenors he invited on stage. They performed. I could go on regarding additional disappointments but show is over and my opinion about Lang Lang as well.
I picked my seats when I purchased but realized a different seat assignment the night of the show. Valentine's Day gift for my girlfriend and we werent even sitting together. Over all phenomenal show, but the worse seats
He gave an extra piano piece. Well liked by public.
I first heard Lang Lang at Avery Fisher Hall when he was 19. He has now entered an area of expertise that puts him as one of the best pianists in our times. The Goldberg variations and embellished repeats were of the highest levels of perfection and sensitivity. Hope he returns to Long Island!
