    The show was great, but…..

by rgb on 9/26/23Irving Plaza - New York

Overall the show was great, no complaints about the band. The mix was a bit bass heavy and a little too loud. My issues are with the venue and the concert going experience in general. I used to love Irving Plaza, you could go upstairs and get a good view from the balcony. Now all of the good views are premium tickets. The sides, premium, the railing at the center, premium, and now they’ve installed an ‘elevated experience’ section, premium, on the balcony so there is very very little room on the balcony for non-premium ticket holders. This nickel and dime-ing is making concert going less and less attractive.

    Ladytron Delivers

by CAB on 9/26/23The Belasco - Los Angeles

As good if not better live Ladytron electrified the Belasco faithful audience for almost 2 hours with an extended encore that followed a great set featuring new and old hits and keeping the ecstatic crowd rocking hard as the keyboards excellent drums and electric guitar sent waves of spooky, Groove-driven sounscapes sweetly smacked by the lips of Helen Marnie

I love Ladytron, just not live

by Kat on 9/25/23The Belasco - Los Angeles

I had not seen Ladytron since 2006 and prior to that at 2003 Coachella. They are an artist that brings up a lot of nostalgia of dancing to their music at indie sleaze clubs (it wasn’t called that then lol.) However, live they were a bit underwhelming. Again, loved the nostalgia aspect but now sure I would see them live again anytime soon.

    Never disappoint!

by RJ on 9/25/23The Belasco - Los Angeles

Another brilliant show by Ladytron! The Belasco is a stunning vintage venue in the heart of the revived, colorful, and lively downtown LA night life scene. Ladytron had a solid setlist and tons of energy. Reuben Wu's creepy ethereal touch is gone from the live shows, but it didn't stop the rest of the group from killing it! There was a slight technical glitch during discotraxx but they saved it and slayed it! I will never miss a ladytron gig when they pass through town. Can't wait to catch em again!

Sightlines were great if you get into the venue early.

1st trip to NYC was a must to see Ladytron

    Glad I saw them again

by GalwayK on 9/23/23Irving Plaza - New York

I had seen them once before. The show lacked the energy of the Brooklyn Steel show from some years back. They had some long empty pauses between songs where the audience could have been engaged. Not a particularly energetic crowd either. One lead singer is far superior to the other. The early computer graphics were all a bit repetitive and not too the dated level of ironic that would make them enjoyable . I don’t ever need to see Ladytron again is the bottom line. Twice was enough.

    Ladytron @ Neptune

by Sheldon C. on 5/13/23Neptune Theatre - Seattle

I hate that I can only give this review 4/5 stars. I have seen Ladytron a handful of times now over the last 17 years and they always put on a great show. The only reason I gave 4 starts this time was due to the fact that the music was so loud, that it drowned out most of the vocals throughout the night. This made it hard to really enjoy the music experience. Also, as a side note, they had a giant screen on stage that plays various different images and animations. I remember them having this at their last show at the Neptune back in December of 2019, and it was a cool experience. However, this show I really had a hard time with the blinking and flashing animations. Normally I don’t experience dizziness or any kind of reactions when it comes to light shows or other animations on stage, but the show tonight I really had a hard time with the super fast blinking and flashing lights to the point that I had to keep looking away from the stage. I heard others comment in the crowd as well that it was pretty obnoxious. Normally with a review like this, I’d be prone to give 3 stars, or two if it was a band I didn’t like that well or care about, but because it’s Ladytron, I have to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a four star rating. Ladytron is an awesome band that makes great music. I can’t justify giving them any less than four stars considering their history of past performances and how great they truly are. One offs happen and they, like any band, are not exempt from that rule. Overall great show. Helen is still smoking hot as always!
