    Old school

    by Willow on 9/5/23

Had a good time. Only 1 critique… too much time between acts. A party keeps going with less talking. But I had a good time.

    Lady B Basement Party!

    by A. Goodman on 6/26/23

I love the Basement Party. Lady B is a gem to Philly. My concern with the show is she keeps bringing back the same artist Kool Moe Dee, and Big Daddy Kane, C L Smooth...If we need to pay more for a different performer let's raise the bar. Also, they take too much time honoring Lady B. We see this every year can they do this before the show starts? We have a lot of respect for Lady B, but this stuff is getting old... They need to do better.

    Kid n Play

by No kick steps?? on 4/11/23

Kid n Play didnt do their kick step. We all wanted to see them do that. They don't perform much so it would have been nice!

    Lady Basement Party

by Hiphoper on 9/1/22Dell Music Center - Philadelphia

Too many damn performers! By time KRS took stage, people were exiting! Why was Chubb Rock in the damn audience and not on the stage! Luke...omg. All you needed was Kane and KRS. No one else should have been there.

    Bummer

by Phillyvet1967 on 9/1/22Dell Music Center - Philadelphia

Uncle Luke should have stayed home. He was booed for cutting his songs after 30 seconds of playing. The acts same and old. Need new performers. LL Cool J said on his podcast He love Lady B. He should perform next year. Best act was KRS1. Big Daddy Kane needs to upgrade his routine. Kid and Play was good. Slick Rick wasn’t good unless Dougie Fresh was together. Need new acts. I know there are more than these guys and put new faces on the alumni team. Total waste of money. Hope this back to her and she life back into her AC concert next January.

    Horrible Sound System

by K1asha on 8/31/22Dell Music Center - Philadelphia

They did not have a DJ for the event, each entertainer had their own DJ who’s equipment was not comparable to the sound system at the Dell. It did not live up to is name basement PARTY, Lady B and two other women talked in between each entertainer. To much talking not enough partying. A DISAPPOINTMENT

    The real hip hop

by Old School Hip Hop on 8/31/22Dell Music Center - Philadelphia

First of all performers showed up! Kane and KRS One were standouts but all of the performers did their thing. True hip hop was on display at a high level. If I had one criticism it would be that Luke did not fit well with this group. His set briefly took the air out of the building but Kane and KRS1 closed an amazing show. I drove from CT to the show which was in Philly and I was not disappointed. The performers are aging well and still performing at a high level. I will be back next year for the basement party.

    It was ok

by Darryl on 8/31/22Dell Music Center - Philadelphia

I enjoyed Kwame, Money Luv, and nice and smooth. I don’t understand why Chubb rock didn’t perform on the stage. Slick Rick and Uncle Luke could have been omitted. Not enough continuity. Too much talking. Not sure if I would go again.
