L'Arpeggiata Tickets

Each year LC seems to have at least one concert that is transcendent, one that opens new horizons and introduces fantastic artists. A virtuoso cornetto player? Jazz-inspired improvisations on Baroque music? Music so infectious it was hard to restrain oneself from foot tapping and clapping in unison? L'Arpeggiata is fantastic, and I can hardly wait for another opportunity to hear (and to see, for the group also included an amazing dancer and a wonderful singer of Italian folk melodies) them perform. The only possible complaint is the concert wasn't long enough. A 90 minute concert isn't near enough of this group of virtuoso players!

A great ensemble, the singer was incredible and the violinist was great

The show in Los Angeles on January 19, 2011, was good but a little disappointing. It was short (about 75 minutes) and featured a very small ensemble. It would have been nice to have violinist(s) Veronika Skuplik and/or Mira Glodeanu performing, along with a keyboard player. And a different encore (the encore they played, "Voglio una casa," was played during the concert itself). "Turluru" would have been a good encore. Still, it was an enjoyable show and Lucilla Galeazzi was in great form.
