About

KYNG IN CONCERT:

Hard-hitting LA trio Kyng are carrying on the legacy of heavy metal greats like Metallica and Pantera with their classic sound and hair-raising live shows. Their straight-ahead approach to the genre comes as a relief to purists, who praise songs like "Falling Down" and "Electric Halo" for evoking the genre's '80s heyday without getting stuck in the past. Whether they're quickening pulses with "Burn the Serum" or inspiring headbanging with "In the Land of Pigs", Kyng never fail to impress ticket buyers with their technical virtuosity and adrenaline-filled performances on tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

Kyng was formed in Los Angeles in 2008 by singer/guitarist Eddie Veliz, bassist Tony Castaneda, and drummer Pepe Clarke. The trio spent several years honing their sound while holding down day jobs, and in 2011 they released their debut album Trampled Sun. The album's no-frills approach to classic metal earned them praise from critics and fans alike, drawing them out on the road for extensive touring.  The band signed to Razor & Tie records in 2013, and made their debut on the label the following year with sophomore album Burn the Serum. Kyng has toured with big-name acts like Megadeth and Danzig, and they've performed at festivals around the country including Metallica's Orion Music + More festival. A powerful live act with an energy to match their massive sound, Kyng continues to rock fans on their unforgettable tours.

    Awesome Live (Denver)

by Seventk on 2/4/15Fillmore - Denver

This is the second time I have seen Kyng as an opener. First time was Chevelle and this last time was Papa Roach. Definitely will not be disappointed seeing this band.

    great show!

by gmoneys on 5/1/14Masquerade - Atlanta

Kyng put on a great show even though the turnout was very small due to Rob Zombie playing just up the road. The guys from Kyng were very cool before the show interacting with the fans and watching the other bands. They sounded GREAT! Go see them! A little bummed that Kill Devil Hill did not make it :(
