From easy booking, mobile tickets to a great venue and awesome gig. We had a great evening out and also got to chat with some of the local folks.
Great show. Elling is an amazing singer with such a wide vocal range and ability to perform many genres so well. His band was extremely talented in their own right. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. He and the band had everyone on their feet by the end of the show. Only ask would have been for him to play more than 90 minutes. Did not want the show to end!
Kurt was fantastic. The cameras attention to detail and showcasing what we could not see was great. The seating chart online is misleading. I thought I was buying good seats yet we got there and unable to see the stage at all. Now I know where to sit next time but wish the venue did not have so many obstructed seats.
Such a treat to get the caliber of artists that Jimmy’s offers the Seacoast of NH. Kurt and mates were phenomenal and our first experience and most certainly not our last!
I have waited a long time to see Kurt Elling and I was not disappointed. He is one of a kind. Whether singing his own compositions or an arrangement of someone else's song, he has a style all his own.
Kurt Elling has got to be the greatest vocal jazz performer of our generation. He has Wicked control over his own voice and the band. The Valentine's day-themed show was a kickstarter to a very memorable evening.
We have seen Kurt 7 times but this was by far his best concert. What a talented gifted man with great stage presence and charisma. The musicians were outstanding. A fantastic show.
Jazz, REAL JAZZ, is an ever-evolving craft that is created in a vacuum shared by musicians that are inspired by the muses that are eternal, but only available to those who give themselves over to the creative process. This, of course, involves a life-time of preparation, diligence and a trust between musicians that allows this shared zeitgeist to manifest itself for the "Moment," before morphing back into the "Becoming!" These musicians are committed to "going there" and understand that the experience involves the collective consciousness of their audience: The Spirits that inhabit the Spiritual … As with the dozen or so "moments" before, I became privy to this "place" once-again, courtesy of these musicians who conjure up the eternal, if only for 90 minutes! Please come join them, and US, in this shared process of "becoming", known in this realm, as JAZZ!
Kurt is the best Jazz person I'll see in my lifetime!
It was fabulous as expected. Please come back to Kansas City more often! Just terrific. I was especially impressed with the bass miking - it was so easy to hear the bass line and solos.
