What a venue!!!! I don't want to watch a concert anywhere else now. The view was unbeatable. The music sounded great. This was my first time there and I will be going back to other concerts no doubt. The camp ground was in great shape. I can't say enough about this location.
This was my first time at Summer Jam. Hopefully it won't be my last. But tht just depends on the lineup. Everybody was amazing! Perfect weather also.
All of the artists were amazing and it just got better as the night went on! I went up there to see my favorite person Wale, but I swear his mike wasn't barely on at the beginning, and then he only got to play like 5 songs. He has soo many cuts and he's soo talented! So my only "disappointment" was to not be able to see him longer!
I'm in my 30s, grew up in seattle, and never been to summer jam even though I've gone to lots of other camping music festivals. I had a blast, simply because of the person I was with and that I had always wanted to go as a kid. But I've discovered for a hip hop concert it is better to go see individual artists doing an entire concert. Ill leave the weekend festivals for metal and rock...I love all music but was missing the stage theatrics at summer jam! That and most the artists had the crowd sing half their music for them. TI however....awesome!
This event was totally promoted by the station as Macklemore being a performer not just introducing a couple of the artists. I would not have even attended the event had I known he was not performing. Seriously disappointed.
I think its whack that macklemore and Ryan Lewis were splattered all over the advertising and weren't even performing macklemore came out twice and introduced performers but no Ryan Lewis totally misleading way disappointed they didn't perform
Overall decent show- In my opinion it is not an all ages event.
The parties were sick the first night but then the night of the concert security shut everything down at 12 am. I thought the event was called summer jam, not summer camp. I don't need security guards shutting down the party after i pay $60 for camping. Anyway the the party was alright but the weather was cold because of the wind.
These guys did it right this year by FINALLY bringing it back to the Gorge....CAMPING IS BACK!!! That alone makes me want to go - I'm also impressed it's cooler then a typical radio show with Cudi,BOB and Wiz...plus they did not add a bunch of cornball pop acts.....STRAIGHT hip hop, I'M ready to party...let's do this! I need to find a ride over to the east side of the state.
Summer Jam always know how to give a show wit all those good artist n music......
