by knitpurl on 6/18/12Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - WashingtonA reverent and inviting venue, an open and loving crowd, and KD's holy chainsaw of a voice cutting through all the junk we had clogging our minds and hearts. With the added bonus of the speakers, this was a perfect night. Even the parking ticket I had waiting for me after the show didn't kill my buzz.

He never disappoints and is memorable in all the ways he is present to the audience. I loved the teachings interwoven with the kirtan and Sharon Salzberg is another gifted teacher of the highest order. To have these 2 together was a real treat.

There was more of them talking about their experiences in India and history than there was chanting and/or mediation. The chanting and meditation we did was wonderful, but I walked away somewhat disappointed.

by medibean on 7/12/11Sixth and I Historic Synagogue - WashingtonKDas is amazing and the chanting was certainly riveting and energizing and beautiful. However, it's clear that KD and Sharon Salzberger have decided to make a schtick and tour the country and charge a lot of money for an entirely unstructured event....filled with the same old stories they have been telling for a while in other venues. For $35, I expected to get some teaching, some meditative guidance....instead it was like showing up in their living room where they were just gabbing and clearly were adlibbing the entire event
