    Kris Delmhorst...always lovely and amazing

by Anonymous on 5/14/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Kris is such a great performer and is so worth experiencing. She was so thrilled to be performing her new album with her band, and it was impossible not to smile along with her. I make an effort to see her whenever she's performing nearby and I'm never disappointed :)

    Kris Delmhorst

by Stephadele on 6/20/11Avalon Theatre - Easton

Ive seen Kris Delmhorst twice, both times in Massachusetts, where she plays frequently...This was my first time to see her at the Avalon...A local band opened for her (Session Americana) , or so the announcement said but they ended up taking up most of the concert time as the unannounced "headliner"...I was disappointed because Kris does an excellent show alone and acoustic...Americana attracted a rowdy macho drinking crowd who got somewhat obnoxious towards the end of the show...I kept waiting for Kris to come back on and do her stuff but the by band hogged the spotlight I thought was supposed to be for her..Avalon Theatre should bring Kris back for a show of her own ..especially when thats how they falsely advertised it for this time...Americana kinda ruined the experience for me because I paid to see and hear Kris, not them.

I thought Kris was funny, the venue was pretty chill and cool (albeit unfortunate that they didn't have chairs and we had to sit on the floor). Liz Durrett was awesome and I enjoyed Kris' personality, and performance. So good.
