KLYMAXX FEATURING BERNADETTE COOPER

The all-girl band Klymaxx is synonyms with Bernadette Cooper. She created, and is the female force who coined the infectious name Klymaxx. Over the years, Cooper has revolutionized the role women play as a top notch producer, composer and an electrifying entertainer.

Klymaxx hits, many written by Cooper include ‘The Men All Pause,’‘ Sexy’ ‘Divas Need Love Too,’ Meeting In The Lady’s Room,’ I’d Still Say Yes,’ by Babyface, and the massive ‘I Miss You,’ penned by Lynn Malsby

In 1988, Bernadette began working on her own project “Drama According to Bernadette Cooper” and her newly formed girl group, Madam X. producing and writing their critically acclaimed self-titled album, Madame X, through Sylvia Rhône at Atlantic Records; securing a #5 spot for the hit "Just That Type of Girl." 

Now a sought out as a musical innovator, she began writing and producing for and with other artists such as Cheryl Lynn, Shalamar, LA and Babyface, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Lenny Kravitz, Paula Abdul, Nia Peeples, Mazarati, Bette Midler, and many more. In 1990, Bernadette signed with MCA Records and released a critically acclaimed solo album entitled "Drama According to Bernadette Cooper." The album had three singles, of which ‘I Look Good’ hit #10 on the charts, Stupid, followed by Underground, and a cameo appearance on Teena Marie’s single, ‘Here’s Looking at You.’  2012, Saturday Night Live spoofed a portrayal of Klymaxx, Halle Berry portrayed Bernadette.I

n 2014, Bernadette toured with her band and soon created her one-woman show, currently billed as KLYMAXX presents: Bernadette Cooper, Diva, And A Turntable.

Once again in 2019, the band saw themselves portrayed on Saturday Night Live. This time, with Emma Stone as Bernadette and Leslie Jones as Lorena Lungs. And the show Empire also showcased Cooper’ The Men All Pause lyrics on an episode. And the same year, Bernadette began the rebrand. She and Lorena Lungs join forces to release their new project, titled, How to Survive a Midlife Crisis, Under the banner Klymaxx Ft Bernadette Cooper.

In 2020, Bernadette Cooper released a single in the U.K entitled Believe in Us. She co-wrote and produced with super-producer Osunlade. And in 2021, Bernadette Cooper released an Ep in the U.K titled May The Best Girl Win...multiplex 6. A six-play of the same song with different radio formats.

2022, Klymaxx Featuring Bernadette Cooper is currently on tour, and all her music will parallel with shows performing the old and new songs. Her top notch performance full of high energy and drama with her powerful band under the direction of Prince’s musical director Cassandra O’Neal.  Klymaxx Ft Bernadette Cooper is by far the most entertaining show on earth.
