Kirk Whalum Tickets

Very much enjoyed the concert. Did not know Audrey but she was very good, loved her singing. Jeff Lorber, Everett Harp and Paul Jackson, Jr. were great! Love their music. Kirk Whalum was the best at smooth jazz! He is a power house.

Kirk Whalum played for 1 hour but was mixed with lengthy sermon and an inferior performance by his new talent discovery from New Zealand. Sound mix was off balance and slightly distorted. Lighting was poor due to flashing stage lights back at the audience so it was difficult to see through the glaring lights. Song selection was poor based on "Can you Feel Me?"theme that dragged on beyond interest. There was little intergroup action and the production simulated a David Foster commercial approach instead of a jazz artistic experience.

Kirk Whalum was the main attraction and my reason for attending and he spent less time on stage than each of the other acts that came before him. Quite a disappointment. BUT… I enjoyed the short time I was given.

Everette Harp was fantastic. Kirk Whalum was ok. He did not play any of his great songs all the way through and it was mostly snippets of other persons music that he played. Not a good thing.

For a “Love, Jazz, and Romance” event we were expecting more romantic smooth jazz. The first and last groups kind of fit that bill but not the middle one that to me was a loud cacophony of noise and did not emote romance in the least.

Jimmy’s is a first class Jazz and Blues club that does everything right, quality sound, and quality entertainment!

This was our first experience at Jimmy's Jazz. We thought the venue was great, the acoustics outstanding and the service and food very good. The Kirk Whalum performance was excellent. We'll be back!

He put on a great performance. Great venue to hear music 🎶

His music and saxophone were fine, playing on an ample stage in Portsmouth, NH. His involvement with the audience was a reminder of NOLA’s musicians, as they leave the stage to engage with audiences while playing. He included heading over to the wait staff. This was very much the production of a well seasoned artist. If there had been one additional wind instrument, the show would have been perfect.

Jazz music brings about a piece of mine that many other forms of music does not. The venue at Jimmy's jazz club provides an excellent environment for listen to jazz music. We greatly appreciate the atmosphere and the wait staff. Kirk Whalum put on a tremendous performance.
