    Excellent!

    by K. R. on 1/8/19Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

It’s always a joy to see and hear Kim. She’s one of my favorite singer-songwriters. Her voice is as lovely as it was 30+ years ago when I first had the pleasure of hearing her.

Kim Richey at the Duck Room

by Anonymous on 3/18/14Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

Kim Richey and Dan Mitchell gave an amazing performance last Saturday at the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis. Kim has an amazing voice and performed a wide selection of songs. She featured several numbers from her latest release "Thorn in My Heart" as well as past hits such as "I Know" from her Bitter Sweet album. Kim pulled the audience in with her comments on the variable midwestern weather and her self-deprecating humor about past relationships. Dan Mitchell's trumpet and keyboard playing added an extra dimension to the performance when combined with Kim's guitar that truly enchanted the audience. Rather than leaving and then returning to the stage to perform a traditional encore, Kim and Dan remained on stage and performed "I'm Alright". The audience joined her in the chorus.

    great music

by bostonbean on 10/19/10The Ark - Ann Arbor

I went to see Kim Richey (big fan) and I was also pleasantly surprised by an appearance by Hannah Sneider and the opening act, Newfound Road. Newfound Road is an AWESOME bluegrass band! I will go and see them again! As for Kim, she gets better with each passing year and her music is wonderful. She is a singer/songwriter who is so underrated relative to her fame, but those of us who know and love her music know what a gem we have found in her! Her new CD is terrific and I highly recommend it.
