About

KENNY LOGGINS IN CONCERT:

Soft rock superstar Kenny Loggins may be known as the "King of the Movie Soundtrack" for his legendary film contributions during the '80s, but he performs today like he's still climbing the heap — full of energy and vitality. Like good cinema, Loggins' familiar croon has the power to move fans through a range of emotions, a skill he employs expertly in his career-spanning concerts.  With recent forays into country and children's music, Loggins continues to breathe new life into his music, underscoring a vitality that will follow him on the road for his 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

A maestro of soft rock, Everett, WA-born, California-raised Kenny Loggins came up in the Southern California high school rock scene. He got his start writing songs for other local bands, eventually forming his own group Loggins and Messina. As the duo's success waxed in the late ‘70s, they were rivaled only by Hall and Oates in critical accolades, fan popularity, and commercial performance. By the early '80s Loggins grew into his own as a solo artist and producer with hits like "What a Fool Believes" and "This is It." Loggins also became a go-to artist for soundtracks, most famously for "I'm Alright" in Caddyshack, the title song for Footloose, and  "Danger Zone" and "Playing With the Boys" in Top Gun. The singer-songwriter stayed busy in the following years, releasing  a handful of albums of children’s music in addition to soft rock.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Kenny is the only artist I can remember giving three encores. Kenny was great, his band was great. I walked away totally impressed."

"Great show with a good pace. Covered his full spectrum of music. Well done!"

"I have been waiting to see this amazing artist for many years! Finally my dream came true. It was worth the wait, Kenny you rocked it, thank you!"

    by Sacgirl44 on 1/24/24

My family has loved Kenny for years!! We have followed him everywhere. When I hear his music it reminds me of the special times with my Mom because she listened to him all the time. I miss those times with my Mom, and I am going to miss Kenny!! I will always hold a special place in my heart for him. I may not be able to go to his concerts because he has retired, but his music will always be special to us. Have a great time in retirement, our family loves you!!

Great Show, I was blessed to see Loggins Messina in the day but so wanted to see Kenny before he stopped touring. The venue was excellent and the show did not disappoint.

Wonderful Ending to a Beautiful Career

    by T. E. on 11/4/23

I can't believe I questioned whether I should buy a ticket to this show. I bought a ticket last minute to the Inglewood show and I'm glad I did. This was so wonderful and the only thing that would have made it perfect was had he performed "I'm Free." Take your final bow, Mr. Loggins. You deserve it.

A Great Farewell From a Legend

by CrouchingBruin on 10/31/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

This was the Los Angeles stop for "This is It,"Kenny Loggins' final tour. The concert was held at the YouTube Theater, which is just under the south side of SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The opening act was Yacht Rock Revue, a 70s & 80s style rock band, who played a lot of popular oldies. Kenny's show was amazing, with so many great hits, and he took some time to talk about the background behind some of his numbers, like how he came to record House at Pooh Corner (which he wrote) instead of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. There was just one relatively modern (2003) song, "It's About Time,"that probably should have been substituted with one of his older classics that didn't make it, like Heartlight or I Believe in Love. But what a great final chapter to end a legacy of music. We'll miss hearing him perform live. Set list: Keep the Fire Heart to Heart This Is It It's About Time What a Fool Believes Whenever I Call You Friend Return to Pooh Corner Danny's Song If You Believe Celebrate Me Home Conviction of the Heart I'm Alright (from Caddyshack) Encore: Danger Zone Footloose Forever

Kenny Loggins gave such a great performance, and the musicians were so good! Kenny told stories about writing songs, and his humor had the whole crowd laughing! What a talent. Definitely worth it to see this concert!

    Fantastic!

by Cody's Ma on 10/31/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

Kenny was fantastic. Always is. Seats were great. Sound was phenomenal! We go to a lot of concerts and it was amazing! The staff at Yaamava were great. We were lost most of the time while in there, and after asking several workers and getting bad directions, finally a nice lady walked us to where we were going. And when they couldn't help us, they gave us their card and told us to call them if we needed more help. The parking is awful though. And it is a good walk from the parking structure to the casino. The traffic on the way in is truly crazy. A better entrance would be nice.

    Great Show

by JJ on 10/31/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

Kenny put on a great show! He always has a great band playing with him. The venue, You Tube, was selling chocolate covered peanuts and I am severely allergic to peanuts and people sitting next to me were eating them. I had to go out in the hall and wait for them for finish. I don't understand why a venue would be selling peanuts knowing that there is a large amount of people with peanut allergy.

    We will miss you

    by KB1 on 10/30/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

What a great show. Since it is his final tour we more than likely will not get a chance to see him again. His voice was strong and he did sound great. What a place to see / hear a live show. The YouTube theater was perfect.
