We went to see Get Smart, who we saw when we attended KU. We enjoyed every artist that was inducted. The venue, Liberty Hall, is such a fabulous place both visually and for musical performances. The ticket prices were great. Each inductee you played between 6 and 10 songs. The performances were fabulous and a nice variety of genres. So glad I went!
It was wonderful to be there for the induction of my good friend John, who is a member of Fyre, into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame 2019. All the performing artists provided GREAT music that took me back like a time machine to a happy time in my life. Rock On
This is a quaint old fashioned theater setting. As such the seating style is very retro so you must pick your seats and location very carefully. Space is at a premium. Soundsystem was excellent the performers all did very well and it was a very enjoyable evening. One drawback was the constant chatter on the lower floor during the induction presentations and during some more of the quiet musical Presentations. Those of us in the balcony really didn’t appreciate all the chatter and apparently neither did the performers. I was happy that I was able to be there to see the hometown band Birth get inducted. On the whole I would go to future presentations at the Liberty Hall
When Bill Lee and Butch Neese dreamed up the Kansas Music Hall of Fame they probably had no idea the heights to which it could and would rise. This past weekend's show cut across janras but held true to it's Kansas roots. Kudos to the entire organization for their efforts in our collective behalf!
We had a great time! Thank you for the great memories!
We had an absolutely fantastic time listening to all the groups inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame but especially Sanctuary (Norm Weinberg, Eric Bikales, Roger Bruner and Dennis Loewen)!!! Those four guys' exceptional talent, but also their heart and souls, beamed out to all of us that night!!!
The show was a little long, many people left before the show ended. It is nice to see bands recognized for their talent. Thirty dollars plus fees is a little high. The band from Hays rocked.
Very good show! Especially enjoyed the Devastating Dinks! The Bass player Lindy Gallaher is the BEST!
We loved the venue, plenty of seating, all of which were good. The induction ceremony was okay. The guy who conducted the program should have dressed for the occasion. Otherwise, the program was awesome.
