    Jingle Bells Batman Smells Review

by hgvarts1 on 12/17/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

The play was short and sweet. Perfect for elementary school age children. The actors portrayed small children in a believable way and were very amusing. I loved the slow motion scene and the moral of the story where Junie B. gives her favorite gift to May, who antagonized her constantly. (I also have an excuse to show my son the movie Chariots of Fire.) The stage was too big for this play. The curtains should have been partially closed. There was too much empty space around the action in the center.

    Good show for young kids

by jodom on 12/16/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

I thought the show was very nice and the kids enjoyed it. I had a 9 year old and a 6 year old with me, and both like it, but I would say it was more geared toward the 6 year old. He was smiling the whole time!

    Jingle Bells Batman Really Stinks

by Valerie801 on 12/16/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

Did not find this play engaging AT ALL. Accompanied by my husband, father, and my 3 children aged 7, 5, and 4, none of them enjoyed it. Its like we were waiting for SOMETHING to happen.

    jingle bells, batman smells

by dougfec on 12/16/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

I brought my 3 1/2 year old to this play, He was too young. The title caught my eye and he loves batman, so I brought him. The title is irrelevant and doessn't mean much. I think this play is geared to 1st graders -3rd graders. If your child is younger, it is a waste of time.

Columbus Children's Theatre seems a bit tired

by mbrenner214 on 12/25/13Park Street Theatre - Columbus

Disappointing overall. Of course the kids' efforts and practice are impressive - everyone knew their lines and stayed in character. Surely a few of these kids will go on to be good actors. The production however did not live up to the warm, engaging Junie B books. All the characters were played straight and flat - with only volume used for emphasis. Many voices were grating and there were long stretches with no laughs.

Junie b jingle bells was amazing!

by AuntiiEmm on 12/23/13Columbus children's theatre - Columbus

I went to this show with my 3 boys who thought it was hysterical! I found myself laughing as well. Junie b was perfectly cast, and I was really impressed that this talented cast was all really kids. We loved the stuffed elephant, Philip Johnny bob, and the Columbus Day play was really funny.. A great way to spend a family holiday evening.

    Junie is always a favorite!

This production was very well done. Loved Junie B, and the "live" elephant was very cleverly done! My grandson is still quoting some of the lines.

Junie B Jones... just as adorable as the book!

by bernadetthill on 12/11/13Park Street Theatre - Columbus

This rendition of Junie B Jones Jingle Bells Batman Smells... was just as adorable as I had imagined. Congratulations to the Columbus Children's Theatre for a wonderful tribute to the late author Barbara Parks. She would have been proud. The children actors and actresses were fabulous, such talented kids. The portrayal of June B Jones was almost spot on to how I had pictured in my head. Great performance. My daughter has already asked if we could go again.
