Journey in Concert

As the original legends of arena rock, few bands in existence put on a show quite like Journey. Anchored by singer Arnel Pineda's thrilling vocals and Neal Schon's unstoppable guitars, the band continues to show fans, both old and new, exactly how it's done as they tear through marathon sets of classics like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Open Arms." After a short break from their relentless tour schedule, they're primed to blow minds again in 2014, pairing up with Steve Miller Band for select dates that are sure to be the stuff of classic rock legend for years to come.

Journey Background

San Francisco-born Journey is the quintessential arena rock band. Assembled in 1973 from the ashes of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band has since gone through a number of line-up changes — only stalwart guitarist Neal Schon has been with every incarnation. Despite a rotating roster, the band has sold 47 million albums in the US, and is consistently named one of the ten best American rock bands in history. While the '70s and '80s provided them with the most commercial success, their current manifestation with Filipino singer Arnel Pineda has given them truly global breadth.

    Journey & Toto

by Margie on 4/8/24NMSU Pan American Center - Las Cruces

The concert at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces was awesome! Toto was amazing and really got the crowd excited from the moment they entered the stage. It was very reminiscent of the concert I attended back in the day. Their energy on stage brought sheer enjoyment to the crowd. They were the perfect prelude to Journey. When Journey entered the stage, the crowd went wild! Arnel Pineda owned the stage. His energy and command of the stage was exhilarating. The entire band had everyone on their feet. Every song they played brought back memories of years gone by. If you're a fan, you have to attend their concert. Reviews don't do it justice. You have to experience it. I guarantee you will not regret it!

Great Concert but the tickets were misleading

by d20todd on 3/29/24NMSU Pan American Center - Las Cruces

Would be 5 star except the seating was missleading... Journey was awesome, Toto was pretty good too. My only issue was with the Las Cruces PanAmerican Center stadium and the way the seats were sold vs the way the actually were. We purchased row 1 in the 2nd level and by the seating chart and common sense both we should have been on the front row, right? Nope, we were 6 rows up because in the past they had construction and moved the aisle so now the front row is level 1, row 26 and level 2 starts 5 rows up. This was a big deal because every seat in the stadium is priced different and if we bought tickets a few rows up they would have cost less!!! So I feel we over paid. PLUS, the seats themselves were only half seats (like jump seats in an old pickup truck) the seat was only 5 inches deep so only half your butt fit on it and my legs were numb by the end of the concert. I strongly suggest ticketmaster (or whoever) check the seating chart compared to what it really looks like in the stadium and have the charts updated along wit the pricing!

    Fantastic Show!!!

by Mitzie on 3/26/24NMSU Pan American Center - Las Cruces

Toto and Journey was an awesome, fantastic, fun, energetic and legendary performance. The organic music, instrument and outstanding voices of every band member with live music was beyond perfect. Thank you for such a great time I was able to share with my young adult children.

    So Good!

by Lee on 3/26/24NMSU Pan American Center - Las Cruces

This was one of the best concerts I attended. There wasn't a lot of talking but they got straight to the point and played their biggest hits. I had an amazing time but the problem was the venue. I bought tickets on the side of the stage and the venue didn't even pull out the seats for us! We were just standing and the show was sold out so we had to look for an empty seat and hope the person who bought the ticket won't show up.

Journey was great, but Toto was awesome

by SuperFan on 3/26/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

We had front row seats for this event. We had always wanted to see Toto and journey, so it was great that they were playing together. Although we were more excited to see journey, we Toto to be incredibly tight As far as musicianship and harmonies, etc. Journey played all the great hits. Arnel is having a hard time with some of the high notes. It was also Valentine’s Day so we got to meet some of the wives who were there for the show. All in all it was a great time highly recommend. We will probably be seeing journey on their stadium tour this year.

Great concert, seats not so much

by Nanc on 3/25/24NMSU Pan American Center - Las Cruces

When purchasing tickets I expected to be in secti9n 228 row 1 with a railing in front, then walkway and handicap area. Our row ended up being 5 rows up and the seats were horrible. Small triangle shaped where you were hip to hip with neighbors. No one should have to sit on these seats. I will not attend another event until the seating charts are updated and/or those seats are gone.
