    no title

by rosh jitter on 2/20/24Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

first of all, I loved the venue. I forgot how great it is. However, next time I will get there earlier so I can get a better seat without standing behind people. sadly, I was disappointed by the show. Josh is immensely talented that’s for sure. But I was in the mood for more upbeat, tempo, and less intimate type of songs. Typically I like stories, but I thought his went on too long and too frequently. I saw him seven years ago at the house of blues and loved the show. I just wasn’t in the mood Saturday night to hear strip down low tempo songs.

Great concert in a small venue!

by Kicky on 2/20/24Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

My husband and I really enjoyed this concert at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. The 933-seat capacity venue meant that everyone had a "good seat"-- even though there were no seats! We stood up in the balcony area and had a great view of Josh and the band. There were THREE bars serving so no waiting in line for a drink. Very little wait to check our coats and buy merch.

Great night with Josh and band

by Ben on 2/20/24Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

This was our second night on the hello starling tour. Again it was a great night!! The location was nice, not to big. Just right for this kind of concert. Setlist and interaction with audience were top!

Three drunk men ruined the show

by Aaron on 2/19/24Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

Three obnoxious drunk men who were dressed on leopard print outfits ruined the show. They kept yelling, hooting and hollering. When they weren’t doing that they were talking loud.

    Terrific artist, great venue

by Venkman on 2/17/249:30 CLUB - Washington

Josh is a terrific artist who seems to genuinely appreciate his audience. Great night at one of the country’s best venues, the 9:30 Club in DC

One of the best shows I've seen

by ReenBean on 2/17/249:30 CLUB - Washington

This show was AMAZING. I've seen Josh Ritter live once before, without a band. He sang the whole night, exuding a joy to be there and sing and share his music that was incredible and infectious. Seeing him play WITH the Royal City Band was, of course, very different. The band clearly connects with each other and loves playing together, and share an enjoyment of music that reminded me of what I've experienced during downtime in an orchestra pit. People who are very good at what they do playing for the joy of it and for the purpose of connecting with each other. As the daughter of a vocal teacher I am in awe of his stamina. His voice seemed to get stronger as the night went on, the later it was the more prolonged high notes there were. I feel so lucky that I was able to experience this show at such a cool venue, and that I heard so many of my favorite songs played by people who so clearly love what they do. If you have a chance to go see Josh Ritter, do it. It was so worth it.

    Pure Joy

by Helen on 10/14/23Moore Theatre - Seattle

First time I have seen Josh Ritter in concert and will not be my last. He performed an incredible array of his multiple albums. Did this great mix of just him on the guitar and parts of the band and the whole band. While he didnt talk much in between songs, it was just so clear how much joy performing brings him. It was infectious! In my top 5 favorite concerts ever, and I have been to a lot of concerts in my 60+ years. Brought people with me who had never heard him and they left new fans. Loved the way he incorporated Sarah Harmer, his opening act, into the performance. Just overall a great concert!
