BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
North Dakota-born Jonny Craig was introduced to music at an early age by his grandmother, a choir singer who helped him discover his unique voice. During high school he auditioned for several bands before forming westerHALTS in 2000 and releasing his first song "Change, Leisure, and Retirement". In 2002 he joined pop punk outfit Ghost Runner on Third as lead vocalist and in 2005 the band released the EP Speak Your Dreams, a critically acclaimed collection that earned praise for Craig's emotive singing. Later that year he left the band and joined Dance Gavin Dance, a post-hardcore band whose hard-hitting sound served as a unique counterpoint to his soulful voice. Tensions ultimately led to his departure from the band, and in 2009 he made his solo debut with the album A Dream Is a Question You Don't Know How to Answer. The album was a critical and commercial success, peaking at No. 12 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and drawing him out for extensive touring. He followed up in 2013 with the EP Find What You Love and Let it Kill You, another critical success that was produced with funds from an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. A consummate showman known for his powerful voice, Craig continues to impress ticket buyers with can't-miss performances on tour.

by BPM on 3/10/23Madison Live! - CovingtonMy second time seeing Jonny Craig and it definitely trumped the first. I saw him first with the band formerly known as Slaves back in 2016. This was a 1.5 year sober Jonny and from the things he said and the way he preformed, you could tell that things were different this time. He was grateful to be there despite only 100 people or less actually showing up to the show. The venue was fine and had plenty capacity for more, but perhaps its just a dead area for Jonny fans. The tickets were more than reasonably priced and I'd make this same purchase 1000x over. Jonny of course played a lot of his new stuff and even a few throwbacks. It was everything I hoped it would be and more.

I was blown away by his performance and voice and now I can’t stop listening to his music! His opening act Keepmysecrets was excellent as well. 10/10 would attend again!

Then down with Webster came on and I had no idea who they were but im glad they came on and im glad I know them now. Their set was so amazing! I was jumping so much I feel like I lost 30 pounds. After their set I asked camm for a pic and we went outside and smoked a cig, and ended talking about life. when we came back inside I went and watched Kyle perform, he was amazing and he kept looking at me during the show and he took my phone and recorded himself it was fantastic. After Kyle jonny came on, the moment I've been waiting for ditong jonnys show Kyle came on again and when they're on stage together it's fantastic!!! While jonny was performing I went and talked to Kyle and got another picture and just talked it was the best.
