Johnny limbo and the Lugnuts are always a good show, the venue was a little disappointing, I thought when I purchased the tickets it stated a champaign toast at midnight, but apparently those of us at the general admission tables wer not included in the toast. This should have been stated more clearly in the offering, also no party hats at the general admission tables. we could have brought our own if this was made clear. It made for a disappointing end to a otherwise fun night, sure put a damper on the mood.

Happy New Year With The Lugnuts

by Bassman1968 on 1/3/17Airport Holiday Inn - Portland

We spent New Year's Eve with Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts at the Holiday Inn near the Portland International Airport. The buffet dinner and hotel staff were wonderful. This was our first time at a Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts concert and it was simply amazing. Great music from the 50s-70s, great production values with lights and sound blending, and best of all was even though the humor and costume changes were continuous, this band is top notch and professional. Unlike most bands that play way too loud, this band played to a perfect volume level that allowed full expression of both the music and the singing. It was a fun and amazing night of music.

    High energy, full dance floor!

by happyORlistener on 1/3/17Airport Holiday Inn - Portland

This band put on a great show. They had wonderful energy all night, and the dance floor was always full or packed. The event was well attended and lots of fun for everyone. The convention center is a nice space, and wheelchair accessible, which was important to this older crowd. There was a beautiful spread of desserts and hats and horns were provided for the Midnight countdown.

by Kschuckman on 1/3/17Airport Holiday Inn - Portland

Nothing better than spending NYE with this amazing band. They make the evening unforgettable. The venue is beautiful and the atmosphere is a Rockin party. We try to go every year.

    New Years Eve dance

by yulan on 1/3/13Airport Holiday Inn - Portland

They are such a great band but we were disappointed in the song choices. They used to play more of the 60's and 70's straight rock and roll. This time there was alot of soul type of music and songs sung by their girl singer. She definitely destroyed a few songs, the worst one being "When a Man Loves a Woman". Her voice is not strong nor does she always hit the proper notes. It was incredibly dreadful and this song needs to definitely be sung by Lance instead. He is such a great performer and always has been. The band is great as mentioned before, however, we would not attend another performance by them due to feeling disappointed by the female singer and their song choices for the evening.
