John Pinette has been entertainingaudiences around the world in a variety of ways for over twenty years, but itis making people laugh that John enjoys most of all. When asked to describe hisstand-up, John Pinette says, "I talk about my life, it is the funniest thing Ican think of. For some reason, people enjoy seeing me lose by cherub likedemeanor".  John was named Stand-Up Comedian of the Year by the AmericanComedy Awards in 1999 and received a Gemini Award nomination for his superbtelevised performance at The Montreal Comedy Festival in 2000. His hit ComedyCentral Special and DVD entitled "I'm Starvin'" was released in January of 2007as a follow up to his enormously successful CD ‘Show Me The Buffet'.

Born just outside of Boston,Massachusetts, John has always had a gift for making people laugh. When helearned that he could actually make a living doing so, John left behind hislife as an accountant and began his comedy career.  It wasn't long beforehe was touring comedy clubs around the country. Shortly thereafter, John gothis big break when he was asked to tour with Frank Sinatra.  Since then hehas made multiple guest stand-up comedy appearances on television shows such asThe Tonight Show, The Dr. Phil Show, and The View.

John has also enjoyed a long actingcareer in television, film, and stage. He starred on Broadway playing the roleof ‘Edna Turnblad' in the hit musical ‘Hairspray' and has appeared in suchfilms as Duets, starring Gwenyth Paltrow, Dear God, starring GregKinnear, Junior, starring Arnold Schwarzeneger and The Punisherstarring John Travolta. He was a series regular on the hit series ParkerLewis Can't Lose, and starred as the car-jack victim in the final episodeof Seinfeld.  John is currently filming The Last Godfatherstarring opposite Harvey Keitel.
