Becky Stark is so charming! And the whole band seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves, not to mention producing beautiful sounds.

by DCreviewist on 1/30/15Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - WashingtonI wasn't sure what to expect going in, but John Reilly, Becky Stark, and Tom Brosseau were wonderful together! It was a beautiful show and they seemed to be having fun performing, which made for a great atmosphere. I loved it! I have to say, though, that Becky Stark definitely stole the show with her amazing voice.
Rating: 5 out of 5 This Show Is A Delight
by DCMark on 1/30/15Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - WashingtonIf you enjoy folk music, don't miss this delightful show when it comes through your area. Actor John C. Reilly has numerous hit movies to his name, but for this project, he has assembled a tight and talented band of acoustic musicians to take the audience on a 2 hour journey of American roots music. Opening act Andru Bemis sets the tone for the evening, playing obscure but treasured ballads on his banjo and guitar, while also letting the audience know what to expect for the rest of the night. (Just what kind of band has this movie star Reilly put together, anyway ?) The acoustics in my venue were superb. I'm not sure if that's the venue itself, or the band's sound equipment, but wow, it was crystal clear. John C. Reilly keeps things moving, and every member of the band gets to shine. Singer Becky Stark puts a fresh young face on some of this "old timey" music, proving it's good no matter how long it's been around. Again, just a delight. Later, most of the band (and in our case John C. Reilly as well), came out afterwards for a meet and greet. Fans who left as soon as the show was over missed out. An evening very well spent.
