BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The highest-selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time, Joe Satriani was born in Westbury, NY in 1956. Before he gained fame, Satch made a living teaching some of the most influential guitarists of the ‘80s, including Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Steve Vai (David Lee Roth), and Larry LaLonde (Primus). His solo career took off with the hits “Always with Me, Always with You” and “Satch Boogie” off his 1987 album Surfing with the Alien. He kept his hot streak alive with his next two albums Flying in a Blue Dream (1988) and The Extremist (1992), which both went gold. In 1996 Satriani started the G3 Tour with friends Steve Vai and Eric Johnson to bring instrumental guitar music to the masses. In 2008 Satch joined forces with former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar (vocals), Michael Anthony (bass), and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith to create the supergroup Chickenfoot. While those projects keep him crazy busy, Satriani still continues to tour -- bringing venues like Warner Theatre to capacity -- and record as a solo artist, releasing Unstoppable Momentum in 2013.

    Awesome awkwardness

    I was hoping to meet my long life guitar hero for the first time in 25 years (Joe)... I had met my other guitar hero back in 2017 and it was awesome! So my expectations were high and they were met since the meet and greet... but the first awkward moment had come since the whole experience was cut due to time management... but it was ok... the real trouble began when the concert was about to begin... the seats were a little bit narrow and my fellow guitar nerds were a bit bigger than the seats so it was awkward like flying in economy seat... really really not the best seats (talking about comfort). The show was as I expected... my guitar hero wailed their instruments as I wanted to and saw them together for the first time!!! It was a dream come true. The sound was amazing!!! 5 stars in a great acoustic theater and the again as expected I was drooling for familiar guitar riffs and well known solos. It helped me forget about the guys next to me, since they were also enjoying the show as I was!!! If you haven't seem them please go and see them... you won't regret it !!! If I could go again I would definitely, whiteout thinking it twice !

    3 hours of great music!

    Great show! Vai came on around 7:30 and played his classics and new material from his latest album, Involate. Satriani came on just before 9 and tore through a setlist of old and new material. The musicians playing with Vai and Satriani were top notch. After Satriani's set, Vai joined Satriani and played their new song and you really got me (Kinks cover) and Enter Sandman with Satriani's keyboard player on vocals. Odd to hear them perform Enter Sandman. They did a great job! If you have the chance to see them, I highly recommend it.

    The Satch Vai Tour 2024 is a must see!

    As their fans know well, both Steve Vai and Joe Satriani always put on an excellent performance. This tour both virtuoso guitarists stepped up their game another notch!

    Amazing concert. My experience was amazing. Received the VIP info in good time, venue was clean, easy to access. Very pleased with the whole experience from ticket purchase to end of concert.

    Great show, one disappointment.

    I was shocked to hear Joe Satriani cover enter sandman by Metallica. Sach is so far above the mediocre Metallica, I would have much rather seen Summer Song, one of my favorite Sach songs. All in all great concert. Sach's keyboard player shifted from incredible to sucks, very strange.

    Satriani never fails to amaze! What great playing and an awesome place to be. Only complaint, lights were a bit much and sound was distorted at times due to the volume being so high. Thoroughly enjoyed the show and what a great birthday present it was for my husband!

    First time ever attending a meet & greet !! Joe Satriani and Steve Vai were so nice to us All . Felt like sitting in a living room chatting with them . They gave us a fantastic concert afterwards and a very memorable experience!
